Hello all, Im an 18 y/o Canadian boy living in bc. First off I have had back pain/ depression/ anxiety for 5 years. I am interested in my medical card. I have been smoking for a few years and cannabis has worked wonders for both my mental and physical pain. The problem is my parents are againsted it. They don't want me to get arrested or laced etc.. they are blinded by propaganda but still very supportive of me. I have tried about a year of physiotherapy to help my pain, but it has only doubled in the last year. I have tried a variety of opiates not prescribed, they work but I know I'll abuse them and they only help with calming my muscles, not my mind. I don't want to be on xanax, oxy, ssri for the rest of my life. My question is how do I go about getting my card without my parents full support? And Im looking for tips on how to get my doctor to give me my card, I've heard its rather challenging here for someone so young. I've also heard its worth it to drive to vancouver to get a doc to give me my card. I hope there's someone else similar in age in Canada that has gone through the prosses that can walk me through it. I have other questions but I'll leave it at that for now. Thanks for your time.
