first few week using 6500k (daylight) nd when it flower's change to 2700k right?

I prefer to mix cfl spectrums as well as flouros, run an equal amount of both spectrums for veg and flower, obviously not the quickest growth but certainly more lush with both spectrums imo and how i do things after trying the single spectrums with cfls and flouros. Peace

Sorry that was a YUP to OP. Yes you are correct OP.

Next question.......
I would put my face on the glass of a 400 watter on 6inch cooling without testing it with my hand first, your plants can pretty much touch a decent air cooled hood. All I have to say is gear up towards getting one. you could even try running cooled hood to ducting to outside to fan to filter. With 6 inch ducting in such a small space it would replace the atmosphere so many times over and it would remove most of the heat while still running the fan slowly. (buy an over powered fan, I use 660cm3h fans)

Next question about the 150 HID. I ask you again the same thing are your bulbs equivalent or actual wattage ? You couldnt replace 1000 actual watts of cfl with a 150 HID but you could replace 1000 watt equivalent with a 150 watt hood. Please answer my question before anything else :)

Just my stoned rambles, take em or leave em.

Cheers guys and mouse for some good info. Unfortunatly i have a small flat and thin walls, can only run a small flowering room. I need a bigger fan but the speed controller with it makes it slightly more exspensive. I will have one within a few weeks though i just worry about the noise. My grow room is about 1 or so meter squared and i run a 100cfm 4 inch fan and that sucks for removing the heat from two 250watt enviros.

Yeilds are still good enough for me though so alls cool im just looking to upgrade to a 400watt hps soon although i will def run a digital switchable ballast and aero hood, should blast my small gro room and hopefully keep the temps cool. Thanks again for the info. Peace

I did a similar thing as well, luckily mines been working for four years pretty much constantly. I tried to get the ratings right for the fan having a similar adjustable adaptor i.e. it could change from 3.5 volts to about 12 volts but i could never work out getting the ampage right per the ampage and voltage of the fan.

I have since gone with a desk fan and discontinued the pc fan and adaptor, was the only fire risk i ever had if it even was a fire risk. Consult a pc repair man who will know the answer not an electritian, personally i dont like doing any electrics myself even though i could, that pc fan question never got really answered when i asked although some tried, good luck and sorry i dont know the answer, mouse??? pEACE

Yeah it will :) just cut the wire off the charger and it should be as easy as black to black red to red. you can even daisy chain a few fans with a cheap molex splitter from any pc store, they will lose a little power but not masses, I ran 5 from two chargers originally.

I used two old phone chargers that were 7 and 12 v at low amperage. The fans are meant for fairly high amperage in a PC setting and only drain what they require so long as you dont go overboard or put too much drain on the charger (not enough apps or too many) you will be fine. The chargers ran hot but ran fine for about 6 months, I did have two stop working before I cracked the best voltage and amperage.

Sorry I cant remember those values.

Just my stoned ramble, yes I am a veritable pool of useless information ;)

I would really recommend nothing smaller than a 250 watt HID with adequate cooling for flowering but less will work and there are other ways :)

My advice take it or leave it ;)
