Yeah I was wondering the same? Why not 5? 10 gal pots are usually for monsters outside that grow past 10 feet.
1gal per foot of plant

I'd recommend at least vegging in smaller sizes and transplanting up to the final size. But starting in 10G is tough and needlessly heavy at first.

I transplanted from a 1.5 gallon to the ten.

Not to worry man, you can still grow in your 10gal pot. But it's a lot of wasted space + coco.

Just from my experiences with smart pots and coir it takes around a half again more water than a regular pot to keep them clean of buildup.

My plants were root bound
Well I like to learn. So in will grow these out in time for the spring and use them outside. 10 foot plant sounds nice. LolNot to worry man, you can still grow in your 10gal pot. But it's a lot of wasted space + coco.

I'm too paranoid about growing outside, otherwise I definitely would!
