About to get my mix on! SUPER SOIL FTW!

Hey guys, I found the mecca of all hydro shops! I walked into the shop today and it literally reminded me of costco! I am getting ready to mix up some SS and I need some input from my fellow RIU folks.
So a little about me, I have 1 grow under my belt which was okay. I used LC #2 Soiless mix with Guano teas and the grow went okay, except for little bumps here and there.... Looking at all the amazing results and threads about Subcools amazing Supersoil, I definitely wanted to hop on the bandwagon!

Last Season: [LC #2 Soiless mix w/ Guano Teas]
-600 watt HPS
-5x5 Grow tent
-7 (3 gallon smart pots) [4 Skywalker x Romulan, 1 Blue Dream, 1 Giesel, 1 HP13xPineapple] (2 Raskal WhitexFire clones but died...)
-6" Vortex [50% energy level]
-2 AirKing 6" mini clip fans
[I only yielded 6oz but it was amazing smoke!]

This Season:
-(2) 600 watt Hps
-5x5 Flower Tent
-8 Bulb t5 [with PAR lights] (you t5 veggers have to check this thread out very good info on PAR) https://www.rollitup.org/indoor-growing/358190-led-without-leds-my-first.html
-2x4 Veg Tent
-8 [7 gallon (Nursery or Smartpot)
-6" Vortex [100% energy level]
-2 AirKing 6" mini clip fans
-1 6" oscillating fan [top canopy]

Okay so at the shop, I ordered [will be at the shop tomorrow]:
-8 bags of Roots organic ($12/bag)
-2 Bio Bizz Light ($17/bag)
-1 Happy Frog Bat Guano (0-5-0) ($8/4lb bag)

What I need:
-Azomite
-Fish Bone Meal
-Blood Meal
-Humic Acid
-Mykos/Azos (bioag or xtreme gardening)

I was thinking of using everything that subcool uses like DTE fish bone/blood meal/Azomite but I can't find the product locally. Does anyone know where they hold the DTE Products?

I was reading about which mychorrizae product i should use and from what it looks like, people use BioAG or Xtreme Gardening. For the BioAG [Vam, Cyto 7, Full Humi]. For XG [Mykos 30/ Azos]. Which do you guys prefer me ordering?

Oh also, should I use 7 gallong Nursery pots or should i go with 7 gallon Smart Pots? Sorry for writing so much, im just super excited to try out this formula. BTW Thank you Subcool for all your knowledge and sharing your secrets to the community! Much appreciated!

Here is a link to a store that carries DTE products, that ships as well and I believe if you spend over 100$ they give you shipping free, but don't quote me on that- it may be just for orders that are not very heavy. At least worth looking into maybe. Maybe it will be too expensive...

You will love super-soil if made and used as directed! You may not want to run that many plants in a 5 x 5 space....I know a lot of us follow the 4 plants in a 5 by 5 lit by 1000watts....but again maybe others will say different. I prefer to use the normal plastic pots and have no complaints about them but others may say different.
Have fun mixin'!

Peace

hey wsup doctor!!! Im definitely going to check out the website thanks bro!

I know im going to love supersoil just by looking at other people results! Im so antsy right now its ridiculous!
8 might be too overkill in a 5x5 tent especially if im going to be vegging them for 8 weeks... maybe drop it down to 6? 3 plants per 600 light? Im going to order some nursery 7 gallon pots thanks for your input doctor!

Oh also just to clear things up, If im going to be vegging for 8 weeks.
-Im going to veg my clones directly into a 1 gallon pot filled with straight roots for 2 weeks.
-Transplant that into a 3 gallon with 25% SS [bottom], 25% buffer, 25% roots and leave the rest for topdressing and veg in there for 4 weeks.
-Transplant into 7 gallon with 25%-50% SS on bottom [depending on strain], 2inch of Buffer, Couple inches of pure roots, and leave rest for topdress.
Does that sound bout right? Hopefully Sub could tune into this. Thanks for your help doc!

Here is the skywalker x romulan from my last grow

Purp Giesels fattening up:

Purp Giesel Fattened:

Different pheno of Sky x Rom. It wasnt as potent as the first one that was an excellent pheno but didnt keep it due to some problems :(

Ohh but, Im planning to pick up everything tomorrow for my grow. Im even picking up 50 pounds of worm castings local for $1/pound. The worm farmer told me he has two different grades, #1 which is 80-90% pure castings and #2 which is 60-75%. Im going with the #1!

I also have to go to home depot to get some dolomite lime, forgot which one think it was epsom? oh well, and im going to pick up a hoe, shovel and tarp!

I was wondering if i should pick up anything else, something like stuff for my teas. I already have Neptunes harvest fish emulsion and Maxicrop liquid kelp for my teas.
I was reading up that I should pick up some carbload like Bud Candy, im gonna put that on the list for the shop tomorrow. Also I read somewhere about sucanat, do I use that in place of molasses or do I use it together? [I was reading really late, like 5am... all the information i read yesterday didnt digest]

Maybe Subcool could tune into this. "Like a good neighboor Subcool is there!" *bing!

That skywalker x romulan looks awesome! 6 plants may be crowded for a 5 x5 but maybe I am wrong. I get ultra annoyed and OCD like when my plants get crowded.
Just leave out the middle 3 gallon pot step and transplant directly from a loosely rootbound 1 gal pot to the 7 gal. Just make sure the plant is established enough for the transplant. Then veg 8 more weeks before flipping to 12/12 and wait for the magic :) If anyone notices me missing anything please chime in- here is one of my fav vids from Sub that details the method and the yields that TGA members are pulling with this method, and of course there are many videos showing the actual transplanting :) Hope maybe that all helps

Thanks doc! Im thinking of doing 4 plants now. I watched most of subcools videos last night and it looks like what he does is just like you said: put clones in 1 gallon of pure roots and veg's for couple weeks then pops them into 7 gallon with ss, buffer and pure roots; once the clones roots is established.

Does anyone use BudCandy? Could you tell the difference when you carbload with molasses or sucanat?
Oh also, I need to buy some Humic acid and mycorrhizae. Should I just use DTE humic acid or should i buy the one from ebay or any kind thats local?? Thanks for the help folks!

I use Sucanat and/or molasses together and also citric acid to ph my water down to 6.5, so I always thought of that as my little catalyst.......but I think recently Sub said on a weed nerd episode that for a sugar catalyst to work properly it needs the correct ratios and balances of ingredients, etc....so a product like Bud Candy is a better bet. I have never really done a side by side comparison without sugars so it is tough to say the increased benefit.....but man the Pandora I took down recently in Supersoil that got SUCANAT as the sugar and this herb is some of the smelliest, greasiest feeling, trichome incrusted herb I have ever grown- without a doubt :) (also that is with the DTE humic acid, it works great for me)

I think im going to get budcandy also, its only $20 a bottle :) Yeah I did a comparison with my last grow where I fed one plant sugar last couple weeks before harvest and man the comparison of the smell and taste was wayyy different! I need to get me some TGA gear, ive been drooling at some of those strains! Where did u order your seeds from bro?

I'm lucky enough to live in a state where I can just go buy them from a dispensary that I can verify is a certified distributor by checking the TGA website. Otherwise I'd use Attitude from what I hear :)
Peace!
