About to go pick this up. Sweet deal right?

No those are only 20w lights, I would look for a package of 40w actual (120w equivalent) or higher. The higher wattage lights have more penetration and more raw lumens so it takes a lot less of them, therefore making them a better deal imho.

Just look into HID, cfls will never get you the density you want unless you veg a for good amount of time to increase the root zone before you waste time by only having one small cola per plant.

I'm no expert at cfl growing but they are just a headache.

The problem with those bulbs is it does not say the temperature in kelvin. They should be 6500k for veg and 2700k for flower. If its not on the bulb or package dont buy them. Lowes does have the correct bulbs. I use the 23w equivilent of 100w. They are Bright Effects-Daylight bulbs #296882. Those jare just lower wattage.

Hmmm thanks guys. I should mention that I have a HPS/MH system on the way but I already started germinating and desperately need cheap light for the next few days to a week!

Actually, it does say the Color Temp... It says 6500K

This is a good deal depending on how many plants you expect to grow... And also, as the plant or plants get larger, you will have to add more light.

It really doesn't matter then if you're just needing lights for a week or whatever anything will do. Hell you really only need one decent little cfl if you have just a couple seedlings in a tiny space.
