About to purchase my 1st environment. Last minute adivce required.

New to here folks so please be patient. I have been trying to search and look through the existing threads but trying to extract the required knowledge from the multitude of threads is frankly doing my head in:shock:

So I thought it may be easier for me to get the required info from starting my own thread.

Have been sufing through the posts trying to find environment advice. Have been given a complete costing for a 1.2m x 1.2m tent including light, fans filters and nutes. The system is wilma 9pot 18L pots with clay pebbles.

Some questions are as follows

Should I upgrade the 600W light to a 1000W?

Would it be best to use 600W for veg and 1000W for flower?

What timing should I use on the light for veg and flowering?

What sort of timing setting should I use for feeding the seedlings on once I have planted them in the clay pebbles?

How would I know if I had to inrease the strength of the nutes?

Thanks for any advice in advance and should I have any other questions I shall post them here.

Pretty much what he said...

The only reason I would ever use a 600w over a 1000w (it's never come up), is if the space was too small and 1000w would be wasted, or to save energy. If I for some reason only had seedlings and tiny clones, and also didnt have my small t5, I would probably dim my 1k down. I actually put a dimmable ballast in my veg for that reason, just never had a reason to dim it yet.

I personally use 24hr light for veg, and If you are bored you can spend a couple hours researching which is better and why, it was an interesting read, but will probably bring you no closer to an answer.

Flower 12/12 with the 1k, don't think you'll regret the extra light.

Cheers for the info guys.

Just 1 wee thing, should I just start the nutes at the strangth set out on the bottle and what should i keep the level at in the wilma system.

Cheers
