about to take some clones, what kind of lighting?

about to take some clones here. just wondering what kind of lighitng i should give them. i want to take them right now but the lights are off. should i wait until the lights are on? do the clones need light once they are planted?

A couple of days on 18/6 won't hurt but don't do it in 12/12.
Best thing is to make a tent and have a separate light. I use a 24" T5 fluorescent on 24/7.

i also heard that if you go into your grow room too much during the lights off you can hermie them. but if i go in there for 30 seconds, take 2 clippings. i should be fine right?

Probably okay, but use a small flashlight rather then turning the lights on. Best thing is to have a green LED light for going in during dark period.

i have been in there a few times to take pictures. they seem fine so far. it only happens rarely. so i should be ok. i dont turn the lights on ever, i just open the door a crack. then im just in and out.

im also taking clones from flowering plants. so will the shock of going from 12/12 to suddenly 18/6 be a problem? also someone told me that i need to cut the small buds off? is this true? what would happen if i left them on and just vegged them like that?
