Absolute first attempt! Please advise!

Someone tell me the next move please. Planted a week ago, just hoping for a tiny family harvest for first-timers

Research. I read a bunch before I started, and more since then. This is a good source of info if you can pick through the bullshit.

Remove the plastic dome. Replant to about 2-3 inches below the leaves and give them more light.

Honestly they are stretched really bad as I see. Plant deep or try again. Get closer to your light and please research as @PadawanWarrior suggested. It is easy once you understand the basics.

You need a better light, also probably stake those up instead of tie them down this early if they’re not standing in their own. When you transplant you can bury some of the stem here, but you’ll definitely need more light.

Those girls are past ready for a stronger light. That's why they're so tall and skinny. They are reaching for more intense light. Have you planned anything? Your intentions for a personal harvest are great but what are you trying to produce? With this being your first shot are you just shooting for the moon?

Anyway what kind of medium are you thinking about using? Do you have lighting? What kind, how strong? It is way too late to try to start something outside. What feed/ nutrients are you going to give them? And your biggest factor, what will your growing environment be like?
These are the basics, get these tuned in just right and it'll be cake. If you have time to listen, "Dude Grows Show" podcast has 1200+episodes going back to 2014. There's is a LOT of good info they are sharing. And they are still putting out new episodes. They have taught me so much.

I’d just start with one or 2 plants with that little light. Buy a better light. They have cheap led on Amazon. I just bought I guess what you call a budget light lol. Less than 200 dollars. Very reasonable IMO

That t5 should be an inch away from them max. Really you should add at least 2 more for any kind of 'decent' growth

I wish I'd had known about R.I.U. and this thread in particular. Lots of half decent cheap lights.

You don't need a dome for seedlings. That's a good way for them to dampen off. The dome also prevents you from getting the light close enough to prevent that stretching.

T5's are fine for starting seedlings and you can even veg under them but you'll need at least a 4 bulb fixture with the high output lights.
