Absolute Noob! Gonna be exciting

This is going to be my journal of growing 2 lowryder plants, in soil with lights, i'm an absolute beginner but fairly read up about the whole subject, any advice welcome but we'll just see how it goes....

I'm doing all this on a budget, so should be interesting

Ive built my grow box, waiting for a mate who bottled it to give up his lights, but as, more info on them to come, I'm placing an order for my lowryder (or easyryder) seeds to get delivered to my address at home, just to cover my back, and ill be growing them as of January the 2nd, I will be posting plenty of pictures.

My housemate (a noner) thinks its funny as i'm in the final straight of uni and deciding to grow my own bud, he's got his qualms about me doing it, mainly about the cost of electricity, but he'll succumb to the fact that its happening, I might even let him look at my girls every so often.

Thinking of some names....

Ill photo up my box, see the extreme basic ness ive got going... i think its a good finish, considering all the wood is theived!

I gots my lights, i say lights its just one, Sylvania High Pressure Sodium, Grolux 400 watt. What are people's opinions of this bad boy?

My plan is to have two or three plants, what do you reckon? I was thinking of setting up a couple 20 watt CFL, the standard ones you get from B&Q, on the side of the box just to get a bit more light onto the plants....

I cant beleive its all coming together....

I grew lowryder2 and auto ak47 with a 400w and got amazing resuts! 304g off 2 auto ak47 and 1 lowryder2.

Ive been looking to choose the right nutes, and the biobizz ones look pretty good, you use grow and bloom? or topmax aswell?

Yeaaaa Boi,

I put my irder down for my seeds last night, after a mental weekend of working, but now everything can be paid for beautifully!

I bought some Easyryders, it was a hard choic to make, but after the success Reiss had with AK-47's i thought i'd try the lowryder mixed with the AK's and thats gonna be me for the next two months... i need to know how to change the name of the thread, is that possible??

Also purchasing my soil and nutes off ebay, gonna call the shop up today and find out what they'd do as i want the stuff to be delivered to a different address... but anyways its getting close to christmas! which means its getting close to new year, which means the day one is approaching!!

Hope all your festive indulgences were acceptable and as required...

My seeds came today. was a bit worried, as they took nearing a week and a half to come, but no worries now, the seedlings of a soon to be budding crop are now grasped firmly between my green fingers!

I got three feminized easyryder (lowryder x ak47) and one feminized LA woman. I think the LA women is feminized... not sure though, it came free so i wont be growing it straight away anyway, ill focus solely on my easyryders. Soil and Nutes and a mylar sheet on order, should be waiting for me when I return back to Uni.

Heres where I have a little problem, my grow place will not have a top on it, i'd send you a pic, but i cant, so quick question.... how much ventilation would i need? as in i will have a fan in there just not anyform of intake/exhaust system...

...and because of this should i be worried about the smell? because i aint at the moment and not even thinking about a filter, just gonna get some ona gel or go ambipure on it?

Any of you fine geezers know anything to aid me?

I realise that i have a shit thread name people dont wanna open it but i got one more quick question then im gonna start a new thread with all the pictures and everything, as i am Just about to start my grow, but im worried about the water im gonna be using, like straight outta the tap, im in the uk. What should i do, i read that you leave it out for a day, but is that all ill need to do...

I know about the ph and that, just dont know about the chlorine and various compounds in the water...
