I have 2 gavita pro 1000s I have a 11x11 room, i cut the room in half it has a window and a door that leads to my enclosed back porch. the question i have is should i use the window AC i have or get a portable ac? what size portable would be good? also would the window ac suck out my room smells outside for all to smell? LOL. I thought i could get a portable ac and exhaust it onto my carbon filter and use my 6" fan to bring fresh air in from the window or cut a hole into my back porch door and pull air from there HELP !

Use the window AC. They are more efficient and won't suck air out pf your room. I have a dual hose portable and it still sucks out the air in mu room so I had to buy a controller so I wasn't losing all my co2

The window a/c only circulates air inside the room so no smells escape through it. Most dual hosed portables still cycle about 10% of their total air from the room itself so smells will still escape with the exhaust. Window a/c are a ton cheaper too.

His idea of exhausting a portable unit through a carbon filter would work I think. Find some proper fittings with hose clamps, or if none are available simply duct tape the hell out of it so none of the heat exhausts back into the room. My bet is if you ran the hose through a length of flexible ducting and exhausted it through a small carbon filter cut to size (furnace?) it would have no odor. Change filter as needed.

While the portable dual hose units are more expensive, they are much easier to use and adapt into a room, especially if stealth is a requirement.
