Yeah man, just make sure your exhausting the hot air out. If the room is "unsealed" the A/C will pull air in through the cracks. Always a great idea to have intake and a fan or two to keep the fresh air circulating.

i will exhaust hot air from gap of window .it is a 9000btu mobile AC unit and i am thinking about to run it for my 7 plants in grow tent . the RH is hitting 80% at nights.even i can use the AC only for " DRY" function ,because a dehuey will blow hot air and the temp is already so high here ( between 26- 29 celsius ) . so i thought it is more reasonable to use a "DRY function " of a AC unit instead of a dehumidifier in this hot summer days .

Look at the picture please ,it is my plan :

i use a jardin dr 120 and have e aportable ac unit.
it ventos out a window in my shed. some ambient heat gets abck into the shed but in the grow tent it reamins cooool.

I use hte bottom port closest to the ac unit in my tent -- the ducting gets hot so less of it in the tent the better.

I also ahve a ducting and a duct fan at the top of the tent to suck hot air (heat rises) out.

I have a passice intake on hte bottom other side for fresh air (it works ouy can feel air sucking from the ducting .. this goes to the other window.

I have 4 fans inside circulating air.
i use a 400 watt hps.

my temps stay aroudn 76.

dont forget you need to drain teh ac unit or atach more tubing for water (i have the excess water got threw more tubing into a large arizona iced tea container)
