I would say that the problem here isn't inherent to capitalism but a special case. "Globalization", a combination of corporate intention and regulatory permission, isn't capitalism per se. The developed world is the loser in a globalized economy and especially the USA. Europe and Japan have done a better job of protecting their manufacturing base than the USA, and we are only beginning to suffer as a result. We forfeited empire after giving into the political minions of the rich. I will wager that the very rich are beginning to regret their strategy. Owning the whole playground isn't as much fun if the cost was its dismantlement.

agreed its not capitalism , i guess it easy to mix the global economy and US capitalism as the US media and Corporations like to convince the proletariat that our economy drives the world visa vie our capitalist machine

but i do agree that the globalization aided third world economies being kept where they are in order to fit into a world market where everyone gets a piece before the worker and the consumer, and you mentioned other countries were not hit as hard with loss of infrastructure

why is it we decided to integrate all most completely our economy and not protect out home based industry and bushiness
