A growing style or method is only as good as the grower. I've seen soiless plants out do hydroponic plants and vs versa.
Exactly. It's like someone who can't play guitar very well, getting a new, expensive guitar, thinking it'll make them sound better. Meanwhile, Joe Satriani can pick up a beat up old acoustic at a garage sale, and make it sound like something right out of the studio. True experience is taking what you have, and doing the absolute most with it. Then, when the most isn't sufficient, you determine the exact equipment needed to reach your goal.A growing style or method is only as good as the grower. It's funny how most of us won't think of getting a stand-by pump until it's too late.Aaand it happened again lol. Plants are fine, no wilt. I made a new habbit of daily CHECKING for pump vibration on the manifold, and there was nothing. So i tried to unstick the pump and still nothing. So I took the pump out the casing was bubbled-out and pump is dead. Guess that pump was on its way out! I did have it for 5 years in storage. Changing pumps every 2-3 years is yet another check for my list.

I hear ya! I'm using both a waterfall and an air pump, so if either pump fails, I should be okay for a few days, while waiting for a replacement.Extra fittings, pumps and stones all good to have on backup or you are screwed lol
Hi,a fellow grower from Australia, some nice pics, regarding the no stones,I see the benefits, less heat, less noise, but I was under the impression the micro bubbles produced by stones was more beneficial?I'm sure b4 you discarded the stones, you tried both at same time? That's what I'm doing,I've had similar success at a much smaller scale than yours, but bigger buds (probably strain, white rhino,I'm not posting any pictures seing our country is years behind yours in green laws)but maybe the roots absorb the finer air?Any response appreciated, keep up the nice growsView attachment 4009504 View attachment 4009505 View attachment 4009506 View attachment 4009507

You're new here, so I get that you don't know who's known for what.
