Added h202 and plant wilted

Hi All,

I just added h202 to my dwc bucket (12l solution), added 5ml and within 10 minutes the plant started to wilt, anybody else seen this happen? A quick spray with plain r/o water perked it back up, but just weird, never seen it happen before, thought I'd killed her. Anybody got any ideas?

I did ask this in plant probs forum but never got an answer so thought I'd ask in here.

It probably wasn't wilting, just curling up with pleasure.

Seriously, if that was 5ml of 3% h2o2 in 3 gal of water, I can't hardly believe it was the h2o2 that did it.

solution was already in bucket (bout 2 days old, was at 70deg) just added the 5ml h202 and let it bubble around for a few minutes then put plant back in.
ok then, but I've added much much more h2o2 and not seen wilt. dunno what the problem would be.

I've done up to 5 ml per gallon of 29 percent which is pretty damn high and haven't had a problem, never heard of the 17.5 percent. are there any additives in that? whats it for?food grade?

it's GH oxy-plus, says 17.5% on the bottle. It doesn't tell me if there's any additives sorry.

GH sounds like that's just what its made for, I have no clue, I thought sure it was gonna be water too cold but didn't know the water had been at room temp already. Good luck with it.

all came back to life with a quick foilar spray of RO water but never had that happen before, just wondered if anyone else had similar.

Thats pretty odd and I can say I've never seen a rapid wilt other than when I used water that was way too cold . wilted bad, I had just used h2o2 for the first time too and thought the same thing you did but was told by many that wasn't it, and it wasn't in my case, you're case I have no idea , lets just hope it doesn't happen again. it certainly wouldn't deter me from using h2o2 if I had to.

I've had the same problem. They always perk up a couple hours after i spray the roots with my 1.5% solution. Were you spraying to get rid of algae as well?

wilting is common after the shock of a dose of H2O2, it bounces back as long as u didn't have hella-root rot...
