addiction

Man I do believe my addictive personality has shown itself again. Seems that growing marijuana is highly addictive. Now I been smokin for a long time dont get me wrong, but, ive just recently got laid off and decide to design and build a complertely automated grow room controlled by a plc. Im talkin co2 monitoring, ph monitoring, ppm monitoring temp monitoring and controlling all this stuff with the plc. Pretty simple programming actually. Problem is its become quite an obsession!!!!1 Not sure if this is a bad thing or not. My non-smoker girlfriend sure thinks its a problem. I feel like its a new hobby, ya know! I mean if I WAS GROWIN ORCHIDS FOR HER WOULD IT BE A PROBLEM ? NO HELL NO it wouldnt be. But anyway, I never really knew how much work would be involved getting this system up and running. And dont let me forget to mention the money. Seems it can get quite pricey to build a completely automated grow. I know there are automated systems you can buy but..... hmm forgot what I was gonna say!! hahahaaa. Sorry just smoked a fatty cause my girlfriend is given me a hard time bout everything. Man she needs to smoke some good weed. ANyway, just needed to vent a little bit so if you listened thanks!!

Its not an addiction dude you shouldn't even worry about it, i mean how often do you go check on your plants? it can't be that bad, maybe
your girlfriend just wants more attention, and like you said, maybe she needs to smoke a joint.

It's not a addiction man, lol Im the same way. There is just something about growing that is so rewarding and hooks you in. Its just a badass hobby, I couldnt grow anything else, would get bored prob not do well at it and just quit lol. There is sumtin bout growin grass though. My wife even smokes and she complains, they just hate it when something takes time away from them no matter what it is. Keep on goin and get some pics up of this setup sounds badass.

thanks for the motivational words of wisdom guys!!! I will get some pics up as soon as I get some things wrapped up. I know the feedback I get from some pics will give me more motivation. Its really great havin riu. Its tough doin somethin so exciting but not bein able to tell anybody about it for safety reasons. But here on riu you can share freely and know nobody here is gonna do anything shady. Well I did some plumbing last night guess I should go put some water to the new fittings and make sure wedont have any leaks.

Yeah man I definitely see growing as a good hobby. Your point about if you were growing flowers is great. Shit, flowers are less useful, and far less profitable! Just grow a few tomato plants too haha
