Adding nutrients - rep offered

At what point should one add nutes? after 2 weeks? after 3 weeks?

Instead of a specific timeline, are there any physical features I can look for?

There seems to be conflicting info on these, and other cannabis forums.

Conservative is to wait for the second set of real leaves, not the little round one that come first. I start very light nutes (300ppm or less) earlier than that. I think a lot of early nute burn comes from too much not that they just aren't ready.

Im sure there are alot of different ways to do it out there but I add nutes throughout the entire grow.

I start with veg and use nutes high in N. During flower is use nutes high in P and try to have a steady supply of K throughout the entire grow varying the amount depending on where in the cycle I am.

As far as signs to look for there are a few very obvious ones. When your plant is small or has no buds use N. Once you obtain the height you desire or start seeing pre-flowers use P. Thats really all I got for now. Hope it helped you figure it all out.

i also have an idoor hydro gro with rockwool
it depends really if ur using cuttings or seeds
if its seeds then u should wait untill about 3 weeks or so
and then only use a light solution (u dont wanna burn them )
i put my cuttings str8 in 2 my nft as soon as they r rooted
and keep the ec around 0.8
and it works fine 4 me
i use gh nutes and follow the lucas formula
but i 2 cut this down by 50% as it was 2 strong
be careful not 2 over do it
less can b more in some cases
good look

Sanyard, I'm a soil man so I'm not going to go regurgitating knowledge about hydro. Not enough experience. If you're really wanting some solid information from someone who knows whats up with hydro. . . send a PM to Cowell. Tell him I sent ya.

CLONES;Once a clone has legs[roots] just give the clone a little tug after about 7/12 days and if it feels like it has took hold then i would start of on a harf strenth nutrient. But make sure that the clone only gets the nutrients around the grow medium any on the plant and this could cause serious burning.Even though you are feeding the plant nutes i would still continue spraying with a mister put a drop of surerthrive in with the nutrients and just water and superthrive to mist ph it at 5.5/6.0.SEEDLINGS;Once a seedling has it's first set of true leaves then i would feed harf strenth nutrients and slowly build up to full strenth over the period of about 3 week. But there is no need to mist a seedling all though you can if you want, but it is not needed because a seedling once green shows has a small root starting.
