Hi everyone I just wanted to check and see what others are doing in regards to LEDs that have adjustable spectrum? I have a few different LEDs that I use for my garden. Obviously not planned that way. Bought one and have been gifted the rest. So there are a few that are full spectrum lights although each varies slightly by manufacturer. Then I have two that are adjustable. For the adjustable units I have been working with the light recipes provided as there seems to be one for each stage plus some that are generically listed so as I don't know how they would affect the growth I haven't used them. I would like to know more about how the changes in spectrum affect growth outside of "blue for veg and red for bloom". Is anyone else using these types of LEDs? Are those that are , are you using the spectrums programmed by the manufacturer or have any of you put together your own? Are you adding UVB? Perhaps if I check the different manufacturers of these types of LEDs I could compare the available spectrum recommended by each of the manufacturers for different stages?

I'm certainly no expert but have been playing around with the CLW 550 settings and use the add on UVB Light. The linked article was helpful for me but in the end I just started experimenting. You will find the light does pretty much what the research tells you when you fool with the spectrum settings. I've run it all at the original mfg settings, run it all on 100% throughout and have begun my own experimentation which seems the only real solution. My latest run for instance was set at the following for the bulk of flower through harvest. They stretched more than previous with the higher red setting during flower and the switch back to blue seems to help with smell and taste but may diminish some of the final bulking up. Again take this with a grain of salt, I'm no expert but my research and my experimentation indicate the spectrum adjustments even on my limited capability setup makes a difference in my final results. PS I've run UVB throughout and only at the end. Currently running it just for finishing as recommended.

I ran some bag seed at 12/12 from seed under 79R 79W 31B with UVB on for 1/2 hour at mid-day from start til they would normally be chopped then switched to 31R 79W 79B with same uvb schedule.
Turned out more sticky, more aroma vs run with only uvb at the finish in my experience.20191011_162750.jpg20191011_162827.jpg
