Don't even try to use half that stuff! You'll burn'em!
Preciate you stopping bye good sir. Just ordered Sensi Bloom A and B and a bottle of Voodoo Juice. Buy the bloom enhancers etc right before I move to flower.Sorry to hear that but im shure its the user and not the product cuz I um 1200 ppm and no issue and never
Have, AN rocks in my book but so do others BC is awsome to eitherway im out on this thread
I believe everything in moderation and I'll be fine. I probably won't bother with the bud factor X and the rhino skin. But one or two of the bloom boosters and there line of root additives are a must for me.Don't even try to use half that stuff! You'll burn'em!
Hello my friend, I dont have many post and I dont have any rep but Ill tell you what I know about these products because I have used AN for over 15 yrs now, but I do use other products. I just want to input on the various good advice youve received so far.Okay, so up until now I've always used Canna aqua vega and Canna aqua flores along with rhizotonic. But my buddy who got me into growing in the first place swears by Advanced Nutrients which I know are some of the best stuff available so I'm all for trying it but the list of additives etc that he says to use seems like too much to be using.
Hopefully someone who has used these can give me some insight and tell me if using them all together is wise or just some of them.
1. Connoisseur part A and B.

7.Piranha.
8.Tarantula.
9.Voodoo Juice.
10.Bud Candy.
That is everything he suggest I use at different phases of plant growth. most of them are for roots or bloom enhancers. Now for this grow I'm only using a single Water Farm Unit with probably 1.5 gallons in the res. Seems like alot of stuff to be adding. Hope someone can shed some light.
Yes, clones from the same mother, same feeding, etc. with same results. You are only getting robbed with the connoisseur line.Well, all of the stuff listed there I can get off of Ebay in the smallish bottles for a total of 215 with free shipping. Yeah some of the stuff like bud factor and rhino skin I didn't see as very necessary so I'll probably forgoe those. Now when you say side by side comparison are we talking two clones from the same mum under the same conditions? If thats the case I can get the sensi gro and sensi bloom for the price of the connoisseur.
I understand if you don't want to use AN but you might want to chin check your skills as a grower. There are many factors why your plant could slowly die and it's your responsibility to prevent that. You are the CEO of your grow. Go read and research why your plant is doing that. There's tons of information on online. Or post a thread with pictures and ask for help.Good luck having a decent grow with the limits they put on you, sometimes I wish I'd just have stayed under radar, fucking silly politicians , but anyway I just went to take another look at the last plant I have in flower thats in shit AN nutrients , was expecting word on my exchange from my hydro shop yesterday so I could install my monster ebb(which I just bought from said hydro store) but he's left me hanging and my plant seems to be dieing slowly , was told I used to much nutrient so I cut it back, way back (600-700 ppm) and I'm still having the problem after putting another plant in flower. I am DONE with AN shit.
I'm not pushing AN on anyone. Just giving account of my personal experience. If there was something better out there, I'm sure they would have taken AN up on the million dollar challenge. PeaceBennies aren't really needed in hydro if you keep your temperatures right. Voodoo juice is overpriced for the hydro user other than that you kinda have it right, drop the voodoo juice and add b52 , the bud candy and big bud are good stuff but theres certainly other alternatives that are cheaper, after over a year on the AN bandwagon I intend to try some different stuff. Sounds like kbo is a dirtboi and pushing expensive AN products that really do nothing in hydro other than displace the bad shit that develops IF temps aren't kept in check,
countless cannabis cup winners can't be wrong going with AN.I'm not pushing AN on anyone. Just giving account of my personal experience. If there was something better out there, I'm sure they would have taken AN up on the million dollar challenge. Peace
All, I can say is wow. Thank you for the well rounded educated response. You weeded out all of the unnecessary items and broke it down for me to understand.Hello my friend, I don’t have many post and I don’t have any rep but I’ll tell you what I know about these products because I have used AN for over 15 yrs now, but I do use other products. I just want to input on the various good advice you’ve received so far.
Sensi 2 part is very limited in the 17 elements your plant needs to perform at optimum potential. The conn will provide limited elements of the 17 mentioned; check the bottle. The 17 elements are here :
http://retirees.uwaterloo.ca/~jerry/orchids/nutri.html
This is why the AN team suggest you use many additives, however some additives will give your plant some elements that are not essential but have found to be beneficial.
I would like to simply give you the knowledge I have on each product.
1 connoisseur base : This is an overpriced, over-marketed, simple recipe that boasts the only advantage of chelating each ingredient separately which may benefit the plant mildly. Use the three part AN which is much cheaper and won’t clog like GH or Botanicare in your drip line if using hydro systems. For dirt GH may have the upper hand because they offer all 17 elements and would reduce the need for additives, but AN has given me more consistent results and easier to mix ratio 1:1:1. Check the labels.
I hope this will be of help to you. I had fun remembering anyway.
- Bud Blood : This is a powerful product that I would recommend even over the AN new product meant to replace it. It is a WOW product that I always got regular users after first try. I honestly cannot see the motivation of AN to make a competing product to this one other then more profit, because it doesnt perform as well at all. If you can get this product, buy it.
- Big bud : Is to be used right after the bud blood (1st week only) until you move on to the Overdrive. This product is better then koolbloom, or grotek’s monster bloom because as well as having the added P and K it has many necessary resin producing amino acids. In fact these amino acids, which are not part of the 17 essential elements, will produce up to 60% more sap in sap producing trees. If you like resin, you want amino acids. Excellent product here although Bud candy also has these ingredients.
- Overdrive is another great finishing product that you will not see another outperform. The only product I have seen produce tighter buds and finish the crop properly is the unknown “Beast 666” made by a company I will not support for other reasons. Not because of the obvious biker reference, but because all other products i have tried from this company has been sub par to say the least. but this ones a winner.
- Bud factor x : is a product I cannot support because they will not tell me what is in it. As far as I can tell it is a yeast mix that you could easily replace with a can of good canadian beer, nono on the american shit, europian ... maybe.
- Rhino Skin : is a silica and this element will benefit the plant in a biological way. it will strengthen the stem, foliage and petiole which will help fight sap sucking bugs like spider mites, and will enable the plant to keep up the heavy buds you are producing.
- and 8. These two products are beneficial bacteria and rhizome enhancers that will most certainly grow your root mass. Bigger root mass = bigger plant = bigger bud. Period! It’s biology. Many other products namely made by Canna or botanicare (cheapest) have given me the same results.
- Voodoo juice is similar to the 7 and 8 products but again, AN has decided not to divulge the whole recipe, so I would argue against it for that purpose. AN is so good at telling us the science behind there products, why would they keep anything a secret? MONEY. Cheap input cost means you can probably make or buy comparable products for much cheaper so why get ripped off? I would go with the pirhanna and Tarantula instead of the Voodoo. However I have had some guys swear to Voodoo, and would omit the other two for this product. budget decision.
- Bud Candy : Think of this products as the ultimate multivitamin, it has so much shit in there that it will include the amino acids of the big bud, the carbs of the carbo load and sweat leaf, the b vitamins in B52, it also includes yeast, kelp (photosythesis machines, always add a sea kelp in your recipe), and several other I fail to rememeber right now (check the label) and is well worth the price.
Happy growing!
Good point. probably going to pick up a graduated cylinder to measure with. thank youyou can change it from imperial to metric or the otherway
Ahh good call. I always forget calmag. have that prob with just about every grow. You may want to get one more bottle. A Calcium and magnesium additive because the sensi doesn't provide enough. Cal Mag is the usual name for this product. Many companies make them because this is a common problem with many nutrient bases.
First of all, that's a lot of stuff and I think you can simplify things a bit.Okay, so up until now I've always used Canna aqua vega and Canna aqua flores along with rhizotonic. Keep it simple. Ditch the Connoisseur and go with Sensi Grow/Bloom if you like 2 part nutes or the Grow/Micro/Bloom if you like 3 parts. Save yourself some dollars there and you're still taking AN for a test drive.Okay, so up until now I've always used Canna aqua vega and Canna aqua flores along with rhizotonic.
