Advaned Nutrients Nitrogen Levels

Please, I beg you, don't post and say AN sucks.

I've used AN for years - and it is perfect for me. Never an issue - always perfect grows (10+ indoor soil grows) and money isn't an issue either .... I have AN given to me for free (Connoisseur A + B)

Week 5-7

I run it at 7.5ML per gallon (50% MFG suggestion) and I do 5ML of B52 and 5ML of Bud Candy. Sometimes I'll add 2ML of 1-0-0 CalMag from GH depending on if it's an indica and needs it. I will flush with AN Fantastic Finish (7.5ML per gallon)

HERE IS MY SPECIFIC QUESTION. I was thinking AN has too much N, so has anyone deviated from AN at the very end of the grow to another line? I sometimes deviate to a full GH product line the last 2 weeks (1-15-14) so there is less N, and I also flush once at week 6 and once at week 7.

When I do - that's when problems start. When I use AN, it's a perfect grow. When I deviate, it's not. BUT - I'm told to stop using AN at the end cuz too much N. Thoughts?

Most like myself just reduce the N part at week 4-5,simple.Not familiar With AN but im sure they have 2 parts.

The quality I had from AN compared to GH was night and day difference. GH gave me problems at the end I lost 12 plants they turned golden over night. And prior to that I lost 6 they turned golden at the tops. It was weird. I never had issues with AN ever. Same program just different base. I am currently testing H&G Soil vs GH right now. And the H&G side is out doing GH by a long shot. And the LED side is out beating my DE HPS too. The AN base I ran super aggressive. I ran 380-400ml per 20gal all the way through flower week 1 to 9. Bud candy and b52 I go 100-200ml depending which rotation it is same with the other stuff

I am thinking this for the last week before AN FLUSH.

Run AN up to two weeks before harvest

Then: WEEK 7

2.5ML Bud Candy
2.5ML 1-0-0 CalMag GH
2.5ML 0-10-10 Kool Bloom GH
5.0ML 0-5-4 Flora Bloom GH

Then WEEK 8

5.0ML 0-0-1 Pineapple Rush
2.0ML 0-0-0 Catalyst Earth Juice

Then WEEK 9

7.5ML AN FLUSH

Thoughts?

AN is the most profitable and used Fertilizer for Cannabis used in the world today. Far from trash.
People call it trash because they sell new growers the lie that they need 15 products to get a decent end result. So most new growers just mess it all up jamming all these products into the plant. It is the company that is trash and their deceptive practices. Start to finish using AN for me was costing over 100$ a grow. Sure it can give you great weed. Powder nutes give the exact same great weed for fractions the cost. I now spend less than 5$ start to finish on nutes.

its also not at all cost effective for large scale operations which are the main fertilizer customers. the small scale home growers are easy picking, I fell for it. now I use mega crop because it's so easy and simple. no way I'd ever go back to bottles.

Of course you fuck up the nutrient ratios and chock the hell out of them. Forget what you read from manufacturers and focus on what the plants are telling you to do.

If you actually read literature on the subject you see that far less phosphorus is needed than what people think for example.

You can control internodal length somewhat with the amount of phosphorus from my experiments in hydro. In soil you don't need to add P and K with a complete plant food.

Silica, kelp and other additives will do more for yield and potency than high amount of P and K. The mineral ratios need to be right, that's the most important thing when looking for a complete plant food.

Many growers including me swear by Foliage Pro 9-3-6 from Dyna gro in containers from start to finish. If I had been living in the States I would probably still have been running Dyna gro.

Internodal length on Week 7 before harvest. That's where you lost me. Can you explain to me where/why/how internodel length has to do with week 5, 6 and 7 indoors please? Or, are you talking about something unrelated to my question? Just curious.

And I'm not running Large Scale Operations - again, can you tell me what Large Scale Operations has to do with me running two simple plants in a tent?

You guys seem to have went off on a tangent to support some unrelated argument it seems.

Shouldn't change horses in the middle of the stream.

I used the Connie years ago and went back to the 3-part for better control of what they eat. After the stretch I switch to feeding Lucas Formula style. No Grow and half as much Micro as Bloom. I use Big Bud from one week before the flip and stop at the end of week 5 then just low levels of Lucas style feeds with some extra Epsom Salts and just K. Water only for the last couple weeks. You don't need all that other crap. I've used AN for 20 years and it still works great so screw the haters. The pH Perfect aspect makes them worth more than any of the others that are mostly owned by Monsanto/Scotts/Hawthorn/Bayer now.

Fantastic Finish is a scam too. I like the Rhino Skin but use very little of it in soilless, more in DWC.

the ph perfect makes it worth it? you could easily buy something that automates your ph for you through injection , I mean you'd be able to afford this will all the money you save buying the AN. to each their own i suppose

I bought gallon jugs of the 3-part for $124 almost 5 years ago and still have over half left. I've easily grown over 5lbs of pot with it by now so tell me again how buying automating equipment to waste tons of pH up and down is going to save me money. With the AN I just mix and feed and never even think about the pH.

For me that is worth it at twice the price. Still have half the 500g can of Big Bud left as well. That was another $75 and I've used it since it was invented by Dr. Hornby.

Nutes are about 5% of my costs. Power is easily 75% so got any tips for cheaper electricity?

for small grows it could make sense financially, however when you scale up the cost it just doesn't seem practical for large operations, therefor they are targeting the smaller home growers. if your content making them rich so be it, but you'd save a ton consolidating down to dry fertilizer. also only growing 5lbs over 5 years is nothing compared to the tank size for many large scale operations, again for them this makes zero sense. why do they split everything into different mixes, it seems most people need all the bottles to get results. it seems like a sleezy method to entice novice growers into thinking that the fertilizer is the main component of growing good weed. they slap a pot leaf on it and all of the sudden its marked up. idk I shelfed my 3 part along time ago, inconsistent results , ph Flux, and that was GMB. did I get bad results because I didn't buy the rest of the line?

One thing u don't do is run the full line up. As mentioned before just running the different base I noticed a huge difference. Will all respect to all the growers here and don't take this the wrong way. I feel like GH is cheap shit straight up. Out all the 2 currently An beats GH all day. I am using h&g rn and it's blowing GH too.but will see when I flower.
