With all due respect, email is not much different from the old-fashioned letter, which may have been fraught with the same issues, yet we managed. And all without adding smilies to the mix.i understand about tone and inflection. i swore off email and IMs for meaningful communication years ago, especially because I despise emoticons, which are apparently somewhat helpful for that purpose.
I don't know I got 1.25 oz off each of my 2 plants in my first grow! With only 295w of cfls at the end! In the begging I started with only 4 23w and added as I went. Using MG soil and Nutes. So With the wats he has and If his using good nutes Yes I think its possible.yes in his other thread, i really cant blv this dude said he gets at least 2 oz/per plant under cfls
yea fucking right!!!
i smell bullshittttttttttttttttttt!

peace man
Considering most grows on hear (the hole site) are 400w, 600w, or 1000w, 295w is only."...with ONLY 295W of cfls..."
2 ounce wet or dry?2 ounces per plant is nothing special, depending on how big the plant is, and how many you are growing at once. I can achieve this when growing one or two plants and a good long veg. Lighting varies between 200-300 watts.
here's a 2 ouncer.

Thats the plan ceestyle! I started with cfls because I could buy a coupla lights every payday and I could get started with a coupla cfls and add as I go!Yeah, except that they are HID grows. 295W is a lot of CFLs, and I would argue far out of the sweet spot of where CFLs are useful. Throw 250W HPS in there and I bet it'd do better than 1/4g per watt and use less electricity.
holy homonyms, batman.
same here. it works. I'm up to 10 cfl's, adding another 4 this week. next year I'm getting a 600 watt hps. maybe then I'll try a side by side grow with both sets of lights and see how it works out. if I feel like soldering lots and lots of led's together, I'll probably try 1 or 2 plants under those too. I make just about everything I use in my grow room. more fun and usually cheaper.Thats the plan ceestyle! But yea the plan is when I get a good harvest I will save enough money to buy a 250w hps for flower and use my cfls for veg.
I would get bored and have to grow pot plantsIf you're on Unix/Linux then you're not looking at the blue screen. Besides, if Winders died, what would all the script kiddies do for fun?
WOW you explained that soo much simpler. You two are arguing about things that make no sense: talking about light being more 'intense' or 'dense' is pretty funny.
Why is this so hard to understand? If you have one bulb that puts out X lumens, at a distance of say, one foot away, you're going to get Y lux, a measure of light intensity. If you move it to two feet away, you're going to get roughly Y/4 lux from the X lumens. If you move it three feet away, you're going to get roughly Y/9 lux.
Now add a bulb at the same distance as the first. You're now putting out 2X lumens total from the bulbs. At one, two and three feet, you're going to now get 2Y, 2Y/4=Y/2, and 2Y/9 lux.
Get it? Do you see now why the lumens don't matter for your plants? In both cases, you have the same lumens at all distances, but different lux depending on the distance from the bulb.
