Ive used those on job sites, they're rated at 660w and 250v. they work fine if you make sure they're tight.

be careful using just any reflective material because some can change the spectrum and some can filter and some are not as reflective as you may think.
yea i love linux it is strong and secure i think perhaps the greatest thing about it is all the tools it comes with it was frustrating to switch because i was so dependent on windows but what i found when i switched was that i never knew how to use in a computer in the first place and now i am so better off so yea linux date rapes MICROSOFT WINDOWS any version i use ubuntu ultimate a version of hardy herion o and did i mention that linux is free to all that includes updates and support i have never had a question go unanswered and i have not paied a dime i have no idea why some one would ever want to pay for an inferior operating system and pay for support which comes from some person in india reading a book to you over the phone for $40.00 dollar an hour it freezes and crashes and nothing ever seems to work now i do have to say i have been using linux for a few years now and so when i do get on a windows box it just seems like you have to baby it and go slow or it will get confused or crash or get stuck i think it is because linux dose not have that problem so when i do get to a windows box i see the big difference i think the three buttons i use the most when dealing with windows are alt /ctrl/delete ok ok enough about windows

I'm using mylar on the walls.. I've asked a 'puter fried to work on a puter based grow room system that fits in a small box..plug and play...and NO not widows based*shudder* I need it so when I'm out of town and the power goes out I won't lose the crop.The last outage I jumped out of bed..ran around ..without my glasses..unplugging timers..Then I had to wait til it came back on and reset all the timers. He found components that can plug right into the breaker box to control the entire circuit..Now..if only I was running on just !..I'm repowering in the spring with a 400A service so everything can run from !.. Now..I've tapped into circuits from all over the house.*lol*

Yeah its amazing how fast you can max out a 200a panel and find yourself away from the house all day wondering...if I cram another mini breaker in my box...and then you start thinking wonder if I added up the amperage of all my breakers does it exceed 200a oh hell yeah good thing everything isnt on all at once 
I agree I also need an upgrade my friends an electrician and cant wait to trade some work for some herbs just need some extra$$ for the wire and breakers and extra boxes for 220 hook ups ect timers timers timers blah does it ever end?

I'm running a 100A service, but use CFL's which are only 1.5a each.X 26..plus fans..timers..oy vay!!! 100 amp service, electric heat, electric stove and dryer, putting in a heat pump.. putting in 200 amp service one of these years.
it's normal for the individual breakers to add up to more then the main breaker, that's fine to do.

you need to be careful taping into the power supply to be safe you should go to the hardware store and pick up an amp probe to be sure you are not going to come home to a rather large fire you should not be drawing more then 70% of the listed rated amps on the breaker not the panel it self. yea the breakers can add up to more then the listed amps however it is up to the home owner/renter to pay attention to the demand on the panel this is where the amp probe will help turn on the things you have all at once and measure the demand and that will tell you the amount of room you have to work with i still recommend you stay at 70-75% of the rated load of the panel.

Oil heat,,run at night..3 months,,I know, I've wired a few houses over the years. This place is a puzzle ...with no picture. I have to trace each circuit as I have no schematics and there is no real plan .
I've talked with my friend the electrician , he told me about 800 plus 400 to the utility. I'l wire it all in, he'll sign off and actually do the hook up..

2X 125 watt 5U, 230v 50Hz (bloom)http://www.ecotechnics.co.uk/
1 X 220watt red spectrum T5 6U. 220/240V 60/hz
I cant see a K rating on them im afraid..[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]
[/FONT]Would i need a [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Relay contactor[/FONT] when im running the 3 lights together?
I have a 134cm(h) X 28(w) X 48 (d) area for growing). Im growing in a bedroom closet (sshhh, its a secret)
I was hoping to grow 4 plants.
Will i have enough light do you think for a successful grow.

You have lenty, go to the site of the maker of your light, there will be the K rating..I think T5 is 65ooK. Best bet is to line threwalls with mylar..shiny*g* Also if you have the time and space you can go SOG and cover the floorvwith short plants,,, Check out hempy as well..That's my fave s the plants stay short, and you could double deck your grow, so you'll always have something shortly to harvest..Gotta x2 everything though..

what would you use the relay for will you be switching them on in different intervals or something like that ???

Depends on the amperage of the lights, and the total load on circuit I believe, also that of the timer.

o yes in that case yes it will save the timer that is a good way to do it the watts will tell us the amps using ohms law we would need to know the voltage but 596 watts at 120 vac it would be 5.56 amps think of it this way my flat screen TV is 32 inches 900 amps at 120 vac = 7.5 amps i would say the relay is a good way to go if you know how to wire it correctly the coil on the relay will pull something like 0.2 amps but i would be concerned about adding 5-7 amps to an existing power line which has a 15-20 amp braker

turn off all the breakers turn on 1 at a time and draw a map using a voltage sensing probe as a guide turn on one circut at a time and follow the wire with probe!
you can use a small desk lamp to walk around and find what breaker is to what by either turning off one at a time and seeing what is affected, or turn them all off and the one on at a time and see what comes on. if you're doing it alone, try using a small alarm clock radio or something that makes noise when plugged in. plug it in so you can hear it, then go flip breakers until it turns off, then you know what one it is.

That's what I did, and boy howdy how I pissed my housemate off when his PC shutoff..well I DID tell him what I was doing..not my fault he didn't hear-listen to me*lol* This place is a maze of a rabbit warren of chaos.... But I got'er done*s*
he should know better. get an ups for that computer!

That's the plan, but have to wait till spring when bills go down as temp goes up. we pay the second highest electric rate in the country..ande have an electric stove..a mite hard to grill with a -15 chill..Ya know..one side will be crispy, and the other refrozen.
