I doubt temps are the culprit but constantly being wet could be. Again I know shit about coco but I'm running 63 water in my Res and no issues, and yes rot can happen in days not weeks. Good luck!

no no, im sorry about that. I thought you mentioned using a T5 in the first post. Yeah you definitely dont want a MH that close. I use a T5 at about 10-14" then after a few days or so transplant and throw them under 600w MH where they will remain for the veg duration. I like my plants to stretch in Veg so I keep the hood well above the canopy.

Why do you like stretch? You should try White Russian it stretches like MoFo lol.

Yeah, these are Green Crack shorter and bushier, my other 2 strains are looking kinda depressing, GSC forum cut, and Exodus Kush (pics below) Just super stringy and stretchy with purply stems as well 
. These 2 were put directly into a 1 gal pot from a small cutting a little over 2 weeks ago, under a metal halide. Granted I put them in TOO big of a container but, shouldn't they be a bit further ahead by now, or am I losing my mind/ patients? The leaves look ok, but just don't look structurally as healthy as I'm used to. .

they are stretching quite a bit but that may just be traits of the strains you are growing. Looks like they are responding to the light well.

Extra phosphorus cured my purple stems. Just added a little bloom to the usual veg mix.

Thanks for the feedback guys, when I went out to water the other night, the plants were looking really nice, so I decided to let them dry out for a few more days and saw improvement everyday. So overwatering was definitely the culprit. I watered last night at 50% nutes, and added a little extra bloom to the mix to help with the purpley stems. I'll keep you posted on how they come along, and put up some pics soon.

So here they are a week later. Probably about double in size. I will never transplant into too large of a container or over water again 
I let them dry out a bit and watered them once with the above mentioned nutes, 7-9 days after previous watering. The lower leaves that were damaged look healthier, but are permanently damaged. You can definitely see that the new growth has green stems again, whew! Patience is s virtue, I learn something new every grow with coco, but I still love it!

They look great. Lots of improvement since I last saw. What are your plans for training the plants?.. are you just going to stake them or trellis?

Thanks! I usually just steak it with bamboo, but I'm building a scrog net for 1/2 my garden as we speak. The pvc fittings came in the mail today

My present grow was a lesson in "don't ever give up" lol. Their looking nice btw.
I know it's way too late from 2014 but with clones in general you need to grow out a massive root structure with 1/4 strength nutrients and once you have lots if nice roots increase the EC of your nute solution by 100 per day until you reach 1450 EC wait there for new growth. If slow or crappy growth discard or place back in rooting. If growth improves increase EC from 1400 by 100 per day until you are around 1800 and hold again to see effect. If the leaves show no sign of tip burn increase EC by 100 per day until leaves are healthy dark green but not very very dark. Too dark is bad and you should go back by 100 EC per day until healthy again. If you burn the plant to the point of leaf/root death you are better off discarding the clone and starting over from mother. The bad ones go in the garbage and the good ones will surprise you how fast and good they grow.

After experimenting running Coco "veg" nutes at 1 ml per liter as per AN Sensi Coco instructions, I have decided that Coco Veg Nutes, and Veg nute are not recommended for a reason.
Plants need more phosphorus during rooting if anything. Some root with no nutrients but anyway; I believe the extra calcium or however the Coco specific nutrients are balanced may block some Phosphorus. Calcium-Phosphorus think Muddlers chart...
Now also the PH of these nutrients with RO water comes out around 5.7, and I found testing the run off (could be my bennies acidifying as well) to be dropping slightly toward 5.5. See where I am going with this?
This is a recipe for Red Stem ala Phosphorus Lock-out... I am going to try my next round with Clonex Cloning Nutrient and adjust the PH to 6.0. And maybe I will precharge the COCO but not use Coco "specific" nutrients!
I have also been experimenting with a secondary Incubation period transplanting to 50/50 Coir-Perlite. I am not convinced they are doing any better with Coco specific Nutrients...
BTW if you want to see clones completely explode: After you see roots around 10 Days transplant them gently to a Coco/Perlite 50/50! And in 10 More days your plant will have tripled in size!!! Hint: Lots of Oxygen!
