Hi guys,

Let me explain my issue...

i have 3 plants growing under a 250w CFL in my bedroom closet ... They are 3 weeks old (papaya nirvana) and going strong ... Nice tight nodes and working on 4th set .....

The smell is now stinking up the bedroom already, I got this strain specifically for the lack of skunk smell but its not so. It's a rented property so I can't put holes in doors etc. I open the door and let the fan blow around them when I'm home, making the smell spread, but its essential for the plants. I'm about to put a 400w HPS in there and I'm assuming the smell with get much worse??

how do I tackle this issue? Ona block or some air freshness? Has anyone experienced these issues?
thx for taking the time to read - responses would be great

^^ if you can't cut holes just vent to the nearest window if possible.. Can't beat a sealed room, good exhaust, and a great carbon filter.

ona should work great, but a air refresher with 3 filters is the best bet (some of em only have 2 filters, one for big particles you can wash and reuse and one for pollen/dust you can buy and replace as they get used up, then agin some have a 3th filter, a active carbon filter that also take smell)

but only if you can't make a hole and mount a ventilation/filter (IMO only thing that works 100%)

is it a inbuild closed ? I have one, in white, easy to drill a 4" hole on top of it, safe the pice, and startle/paint it agin later on if necessary

there is also a 3th option, a ozone air cleaner, a bit more expensive, maybe 200$ wile the air refresher start at 100$ but no filters to changes every 1/2 year and do the job

here is a link to one if your in EU/UK ?

im running a HUGE carbon scrubber and i put in 4 odor absorbing/eliminating air fresheners in various spots in my basement. just a little added security.

I have the same issue as you and I went to home depot and picked up the clear plastic drop cloth (you can find in the painting section) and lined my closet with it. I pretty much made a closet green house. The I picked up a zipper (found next to the plastic drop cloths) and made a door. Cheap, simple and it definitely cuts down on the smell. PM me if you want pics/more info.

You need a carbon filter kit . To keep the smell away + when you drop that 400 w hps , its going to get worse + the heat issue so you do need the outtake + good intake air circulation aswell.

That's the thing - I can't do that as the closer is enclosed - its built in - the ONA filter could be a good but expensive option
