Berti, that is a great idea that i would go for in a heartbeat but landlord made it clear she didnt want any alterations/modifications/and holes on her house. I am on a 1 year lease ending next june so it just wouldnt work out for practical and financial reasons. Am two years away from buying a house and believe you me when i do i will set up a perfect grow room, till then i am restricted and must work with what i got. Your advice is very good, thank you and thumbs up :)

Then my method won't work either, unless you can somehow run the cords into the attic without drilling holes in the ceiling :)

I am currently growing and runing out of amperage to add more light, i will be expanding in the next few days and my closest source of power is about 30 some feet away from the grow room. Would it be safe or Not to run an extention cord from point A to point B, if it is safe what size/type of extention cord would i need, any other gadget would i need to make it safer ? any ideas and tips would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
Having an electrician over is out of the question :)
You will be fine with a 12/3 extension cord up to 50' long. Trust me on this. I used to run a squid boat with (16) 1500 watt MH lightbulbs and I know what it takes to melt a cord. So in my opinion...12/3 no longer than 50' .......If you want to assure yourself, check the cord every 30 mins to see if it feels warm. You should NOT feel any heat. If it feels even the least bit warm....you need a bigger cord.
Cheers.
