I am just about to start flowering my own strain I created bubblicious x pk as well as some super tasty og. I am closet growing one for veg one for flower. Unfortanetly, I need a new 600w hps bulb for flower, and it wont be in for possibly another week. My question is will it make much of a difference if I use my 430w hps with enhanced blue spectrum for the first week of flower until my 600w hps bulb comes in? I also have some strip lights (blue spectrum) for side lighting to help push bud threshold. There are 7 bbxpk and 2 og ready to. But thinkng of keeping the og out as mothers. As well pk and white castle in 3-4 weeks in veg. All of which I am keeping going by cloning. As well my first test crop of my new strain, so I need to find out which I want to keep as mothers. As i am looking for the best of both worlds out of the coss. The closet is about 5'x2'x6', with white walls and polythermal sheeting and 4" inline fan exhuasting out and a circular fan blowing fresh air in. Growing SOG and they have all been topped 1-3 times. I think if I take the OG out it would give more light and allow for larger yield. Any tips or oppinions are welcome! Thanks ahead of time! Oh also forgot to mention they stay a a steady temp. Of 80° F with 40-60%humidity and are getting 2 part sensi grow and liquid karma for veg. Will be switching to 2 part sensi bloom with liquid karma for foilage spray for flower and of course adding my carbon filter.

Also, say if I stayed with the 430w hps over the 600w hps..would there be much difference in bud quality, potency and yield? Would the nugs be looser vs more dense? Any advice welcome!

Flowers usually don't start forming until 5 to 7 days after the switch, so it probably won't make a huge difference.

Thanks for the reply, I thought that maybe the case!
I have done the first week of flowering under fluorescent lights then switched to a 1000 watt hps and I still got dense nugs, so you will probably still get a nice yield if you do everything else right.
