Advice Needed

Ok so ill add photos after my lights turn on at 6pm.

I'm having a very strange grow!
Lets just say someone i know had to tare down his garden and had all his plants in bin bags in 4x4 rock wool cubes. Plants were in awful condition but i took them thinking why not try!
So i managed to get 12 of them back to healthy looking condition. They had however lots of damaged branches and dying fan leaves which have had to slowly be removed.
I started them flowering after 2 weeks of 18//6 light.
Everything was fine but now that they are a good 6 weeks into flowering they just don't look right. The buds look weird and long and are all very small. On the 2 smallest ones (Royal Queen Kush I think) the buds seem to be at different points depending in where you look. Now the hairs are all very quickly starting to turn brown! this started on the Kush and is now becoming apparent on all the plants! They are not old enough for this to be happening.

All I know is that there is Queen Kush, Pineapple Chunk, Royal Blue Cheese in there. Cant remember what else he said was there! The grow is in an attic with temp at 22 degrees during light on and 15 during light off(centigrade). Humidity around 55% average(Cant seem to get this down). Using BioBizz Nutrients in organic soil mix. No plants are pot bound. Ph is constantly checked on run off water and feed water. kept at 6.4

One of my timers broke and the plants got 24h light about 2 weeks into flower. Wasn't worried about this as flowers were only just starting to show anyway. The Kush were slightly more developed though.

Any ideas? Photos in 5 hours.

Just from your description I'd say you have some nutrition issues if its not ph. I've had plants that have had burnt looking.hairs early in flower. I was using a hot mix with a low ph was what happened to them. Plants looked terrible by.the.end of flower but they still gave some tasty nuggets. Real low yield though for the size plants they.were.

^^ What caveman117 said..sound like some kind of nute issue, but still need more info..what light are they under? What biobizz are you using and whats the feeding schedule? Is there enough circulation in the attic? Does it drop below15c with lights off?

Hmm what tangle eh Am not sure where I would start, the only thing I would suggest is perhaps flush them start with new nutes or run florakleen then run fresh nutes ? Am guessing they didn't get vegetation nutes for the first two weeks as well before starting bloom nutes at week 2. That can cause this as well, they could have had low magnesium throughout the grow as well and that will lock out allot of other nutrients later on.

It could either reveg (not an issue, just flip the lights back to 12/12) or herm (potentially problematic, to put it lightly.) With one instance of this, I don't think it'll be an issue.

Tuff call to make, electricity costs money and herms cost you time, and time costs you money.

If I were in this situation I would take a chance 're veg them real nice and flip them again but using veg nutes till week 2 after that switch to bloom and use magnesium and calcium for 3-4 weeks into flowering.

I concur, for what it's worth.

thanks for responses.

Im using The alga mic, bio-bloom, top-max and bio grow.
They get the recommended doses in every watering.
12 degrees is as low as its gone during lights off.
Using 400w HPS
Humidity goes up to 60% at lights off. still trying to get this sorted somehow!!
Cant afford dehumidifier!
Loads of air flow. Multiple fans not including an inlet and outlet straight to and from outside.
Ive just flushed them last night. Run off is still perfect ph. I give an extra small magnesium does every 2nd or 3rd water
Pics in just over an hour.
They have gone too far to re veg! That was ment to say week 8 of flower not 6!
The leaves were mostly dead before i started with the plants. I was just hoping to get some life back in to some of them.
There is no sign of leaves dying since. Plants are all green and healthy looking otherwise.

12 degrees Celsius? Try keeping it between 21-27. 27's even a little high, but 12's kind of low.

You're definitely going to want to add calcium and magnesium. They're like secondary nutes. Boron, molybdenum, iron, etc. are like your tertiaries. And NPK are obviously primary.

That would require a lot more money for heaters! Stealth the name of the game here!
Ive just inherited a gas heater which i am going to utilize. im assuming this will help and also pump out Co2?
As i said air flow is not an issue

Well, it's more money or little or lower quality weed, brother. I'm just trying to look out. 53 degrees is way too cold. That might even be the cause of some of your issues.

At this point they can't utilize extra Co2 until you get everything else straightened out first I thought you mentioned they were 2 weeks into flowering oops for root zone temperature anything below 58 degrees and they slow down growing and if its even colder and for long periods the plant will get stunted an or stop growing.

This is what I use:

scotts-miracle-gro-natures-care-organic-1200xx958-539-0-1.jpg

And this is what it does:

I'll post a full plant pic from my phone. Nature's Care is the only acceptable substrate from the MG parent company. OMRI certified, no time released nutes, 100% organic, cheap, and effective. I'd only use the potting mix, bone meal, and veg/fruit/flower food. And some molasses, dolomite lime, and occasional coconut water.

CalMag is definitely one of the cheaper supplements. I'm on a pretty tight budget myself, I got the small bottle of Vitalink calmag for about £7. I didn't think you were supposed to use calmag in flower though, because of the high N content I think? Maybe it's ok as an emergency fix, I don't know?
I also get little dehumidifiers from the pound store, it's like a plastic tub with crystals in the top that absorb moisture from the air and a tank underneath to collect the water. I use them around my flat cos it's pretty damp in here sometimes, they last a month or so. I don't know how much they'd reduce your humidity but might be worth a try. I have 2 in my grow room, only one's near the flowering plants, they don't collect as much in there as the ones in the kitchen and bathroom do, I take that as a positive sign. I have plants with brown hairs on the flowers now at 5 weeks into flower, mostly one of them but there's nothing wrong with the plant and I'm not worried about it, it's developing just as well as all the others so I don't think that in itself is necessarily a problem, or not in my experience at least. Maybe these plants were just too badly damaged before you got to them to ever really live up to their potential? It doesn't mean the smoke won't be fine though, just be patient with them. At 8 weeks in you're nearly there, good luck with it :peace:
