Advice on gifted plant

I was gifted a 3+ foot Bubba Kush plant that was stuck in what was "maybe" a 1 gallon pot for I don't know how long. The base of the stem is at least as thick as my thumb and there was some root ball damage when I eased it out of the pot for transplanting. Normally with any other plant I would cut it back,but I haven't done this with maryjane, so I'm asking advice. I'll try to post a pic later, I did end up trimming off the severely sunburned leaves, now wondering if I should cut her back a foot or so? Or try to let her recover as is?

I would let her recover after repotting let her stretch her legs and repair any roots that were damaged. Then in say 2 wks cut her back. I would just take a crap load of cutting off her that's should trim her down a bit.

Is she all droopy? if so wait it she is feeling better and then cut that bitch....

She's a bit droopy but showing some signs of new growth.
I'll wait till she perks up a bit
