ok, currently, i have on order a grow tent to put inside my bedroom. its 76x76x76, the link is to the exact one i bought,
http://www.amazon.com/MarsLG-Hydroponic-Non-Toxic-Cabinet-MARS767676/dp/B007ZZYXA6/ref=sr_1_35?ie=UTF8&qid=1378967249&sr=8-35&keywords=grow+tent

i need to know what kind of light/hood/bulbs to get.

also i have a 435 cfm inline exhaust fan and flex ducting. so another question is...is that enough to fit into that size grow tent?

i have a 4foot 8bulb T5 with white bulbs too but ive always used that for veg.

any help would be good or experienced tips for similar situations would be good, even pics of everything,

also, im wanting a air cooled hood for my light so im also wondering how to run all the ducting from the tent to the fan to the light and so on... geez i sound pathetic -___-

That tent looks awesome very spacious you should definately get a 600w goin in there, get the air cool able hood (not cooltube, it restricts some light). I have a 6in 435cfm fan also I have it mounted at the top of my tent with ducting on both sides one on the exhaust side with the duct going out my tent and ducting to the hood and then ducting from the other Side of my hood attached to my carbon filter which is sitting on a box in the tent so it's not directly on the tent floor and one oscillating fan and that's it no intake fan needed as the negative pressure from the inline fan causes a good intake thru the carbon filter. Set this thing up proper and let's see the finished product!

so you think a 600watt is better than a 1000watt for that size of a room? i can easily fit 4-5 nice size plants in there..

Like Rasta said^^^ Get a charcoal filter also and put it in the tent. Odor control is very important. otherwise your going to stink up everything in your bedroom. Put the filter as high as you can in tent. (arrows indicate airflow) Air goes through >>>>>>> Filter >>>>> 435cfm fan >>>>> Ducting >>>>> AirCooled Hood >>>>> Ducting >>>>> . You should try to find a way to exhaust the air from the tent to outside or to a different room than your bedroom. Otherwise your just going to build up heat in your room and deplete Co2. It will be an issue in temp control. Even having the ducting running out of bedroom door a foot or so that hot air from hood pushed out of room. Also ,it is a general rule that you need to have intakes into your tent for fresh air 2x the size of your exhaust ducting. Assuming you use a 6" fan and ducting...Have 2 6" intake ports for fresh air. just using a few feet of flex ducting is ok for intakes. You can even add cheap AC filter cloth as a dust filter for your intakes. Goodluck.

Get a 1000 watt light with Super Lumens they increase lighting by 10% working awesome for me so far.

keep things easy, build a window box in ur room to exhaust air. connect your exhaust fan to it and run ducting from the fan to your hood in the tent(exhaust fans work best by sucking air not pushing it). keep the floor vents for your tent open for fresh air to come into your tent and that's it hahaha your exhaust fan sucks air from inside your tent, through your hood with the bulb, and out the window keeping fresh air flowing across your plants. I'd get an adjustable ballast so you can run 600w or 1000w (ipower from ebay has some good deals) depending on your environment, u wont know whats best till you get it running. your biggest concern in that tent as the plants get bigger will be humidity during lights off, so a dehumidifier will probably be necessary, but if the humidity in your house is low enough you might get by just running that exhaust fan 24/7. Dont pack the tent as a beginner, I'd suggest four plants and practice keeping them short and bushy and lollipopped to help alleviate humidity problems. good luck and have fun!

I use that exact tent for my veg plants.... 36 at a time for 3-4 weeks in the tent under a 1000 mh 4 ft parabolic hood

Tent has 3 fresh air slits but only has 2 vent/exhaust holes on the upper left corner.

I exhaust out one of those a 6 inch 440 cfm with a charcoal filter will due ya

tent will run about 10* hotter than the ambient temp of the room its in

there is no way to run air cooled hoods with this tent

Yea the 1000w would do you better get some good yields, but heat might be a problem you may need to get an 8in fan instead but I'm not sure. As far as humidity I think if you keep an oscillating fan and a honeywell fan in there you should be golden

If my math is right its like a 6x6 tent... I use a 600 in a 3x3. I would get a 8 inch inline fan, and 2 600w lamps with blockbuster hoods or xxxxl

im sure i can make it work, custom add a slot to whatever side im gonna vent, luckily, i have a crawl space above where tent will be so i can vent straight up through roof without causing side damage, but 2 separate vent and/or intake lines only equals 4 slots, and 5 are available on the tent, you would know better than me as you own one, and maybe my ideology is off not ever having this model, i just think i can make it work somehow, if not..ill use no hood and free hang a light near plants with a fan instead of using an open wing that directs massive heat down onto the plant, im an experienced grower but never from in a tent and never used air cooled hoods, so a few things are new to me, but the actual growing is a piece of cake. thanks for the input, and anything else you have on that tent would be appreciated as well.

Personally, I don't care much for bare bulbs. A good hood will uniformly spread the light out to make a nice footprint. And going air cooled hood will save you a lot of trouble. I am the perfect example of what not to do lol. I run a 1000 watter in a 5x5 tent with a 8 inch 800 cfm fan. I have a XL hydrofarm hood, that should be being air cooled but right now I am waiting on some funds to become available to complete my ventilation. So basically my ventilation is just filter--->fan--->exhaust into bedroom. Ac cools bedroom. Even with AC keeping my bedroom at 68 degrees and running the 8 inch at full speed, the tent stays around 84-87. While that's not to unacceptable, considering how much power I am using to keep it cool, its pretty inefficient . So from what I have seen, Air cooled will make life easier.

-just my 2 cents,

papa

Here is a pic of 7x7x7 tent with 3 lights, 2 air cooled & 1 open, using a 8' filter as exhaust then running through lights & out tent, into my attic and out the ridge vent. Intake is supplied through a 6' vent with a 420 cfm inline fan venting from another vent in the attic to bring fresh air in, I have speed controllers so I can always adjust the amount of air coming in based on the temperature outside. Also I set up this tent over the central air vent on the floor in the room its in. I cut a hole in the bottom of the tent over ac vent & boom instant ac for summer. I use a dedicated bedroom that I keep dark so I don't worry about light leaks.
