moving out here would be cool for the medical reasons but as far as finding a job thats the situation thats tough right now you can find work but for low wage nothing to really make a living at I live here and am in construction and it has slowed down ALOT!! just food for thought b4 you decide to come here. as far as where if you want the beach So- cal i you want the mountains central to nor cal

i don't understand why people make California out to be some place that only the richest can live without living in fear of death. It is just like any other state, just in comparison there are more wealthy communities out there because of location. If you move inland a little bit you will be fine.

Head to NORCAL.... u wont regret it! Try to get close as possible to the coast! The major problem is the job issue.... now u may be able to find something like a retail job or something random but good construction jobs are limited, (from my experience) and can take a long time to land. PM if u want we can talk more..... Im in Nor Cal now and wouldnt have it any other way! Great weather, Great herb, Great opportunities!

From what you have said that you like I would recommend Humboldt - small townish and good schools. The farther away from LA and SF the better off financially you will be. Cali's expensive living wise! IMO stay away from SoCal cause it will be fast pace and a culture shock. SF is a bit more mellow but still a culture shock. Farther up north from SF is where you want to look. Sac Town is alright but probably not what you are looking for and Eureka is cool but no schools pretty though. Humboldt for sure!Hey everyone,

I have been living out in the south east my whole life... I Need change. Especially because of my inability to use Medical Marijuana... I have a girlfriend who is with me all the way, so I think we can afford it if we find jobs.
I have been thinking about Northern Cali... Like Eureka, or Sacramento... I am use to small town environment with plenty of outdoor recreation, and would like to find a school out there to further my education. Any advice would be helpful...

Oh yes we are. Don't listen to the city folk.
Any and almost all jobs related to the real estate industry are practically dead. Yet, I keep seeing new construction in El Dorado Hills and Folsom.
