Advice on my grow

Ok So I have a 4x4 grow tent, and hps eye hortilux enhanced 1000 w bulb and luminaire fixture, Can charcoal filter. and 2 centrifugal fans, 1 for the filter 1 for the hps light to draw the heat into the attic. I have 5 plants, 2 White widow 3 Super silver haze. 1 of the ww is 18"tall the others are almost 5 " tall. I was told that I can veg with this enhanced bulb but not to wait for too long when I flower with this light they will get huge. SO the light is like 3ft from the tops of the tallest plant. Is this too close for the plants or not close enough for the little ones? Does it sound like im going in the right direction? any input please. BTW all plants came from feminized seeds and Ive gotten this far with an oscilating fan and a tone of 26 w 6500k cfls. Thank you for your help and advice

Also I havent moved the plants to the tent with the hps yet, need to keep setting it up, how do I put the flange and the charcoal filter and the centrifual fan together? Im stupid, i know. Im a noob. lol

Sounds like you are headed in the right direction. Best way to tell if the light is to close would be to put your hand right above the top of the tallest plant and if it burns your hand it's too close. Sounds like you are doing good so far tho.

Thank you, Will putting the plants closer to the light be good? Beacause I cant feel any heat when I put my hand over the tops of the plants. Also do you recomend mh or eye hortilux super enhanced hps? to finish vegging and flowering. The big plant I have like is stunted, wont grow taller under the mh? is it time to flower? is that the problem?

I am not too sure my friend, I use a HPS bulb which is good for everything. Also the mH bulb should do fine. Yes get the plants as close to the light as possible without letting the radiant heat given off burn them. So take the top of your hand as close to the light as possible with out feeling any discomfort, that is the distance the girls should be from the light. How old are your plants?
