im not looking to do anything fancy. i have just built a stealth pc cab and im planning on doing a micro dwc (2ltr tupperware tub taped up with silver tape) alongside my soil grow. all i really want to know is will i get away with using just canna aqua veg/flores as a nute line. just lost my job and dont really wanna be spending hundreds on a range of nutes. my local hydro shop sells 1ltr A+B vega and 1ltr A+B flores for £25 which i think is a good deal. any help or advice is welcome and appreciated.

This is the hydro section, not soil section but yeah just use good soil and you should be fine pending your environment. I use fox farm ocean forest soil and only water. Well now I use dyna-gro but that's by choice. Just dump a cap of grow or bloom into a bucket and water them babies. :bigjoint:

Would that be sufficient for a dwc bubbler as the bare minimum
- Sorry can't help you there. Ask the guy at the hydro shop.

I use Advanced Nutrients, Ph Perfect, 3 Part. It's "designed" for weed & hydro, and is pretty much idiot proof.

tbh ive been using canna terra in my soil grow and cant fault it. but after looking into the advanced nutrients grow, micro and bloom i may well go with them nutes for my dwc as they seem to come highly recommended by most growers.

Well.. dunno about idiot proof.. just read some posts around here. LOL.
Lolz, I was refering to moi. If it works for me, it's idiot proof.
I use it at 60 - 75% recommended strenght, Ph holds fine.

btw - I made ISO oil last night, from a shitload of shitty weed, mixed the extract with some powder, makes killer hash.

after looking into it a bit more i have ordered GH flora micro/bloom. apparently that is the lucas formula. meant to produce amazing results.

Lucas formula was designed for cleaner reservoirs and to save a lot of money not really going to give you amazing results, those come straight from the grower regardless of what nutrients they use. Basically a guy named "Lucas" got fed up with buying all those fancy additives and came to a conclusion that you can have a successful grow from start to finsih using a 2 part system by General Hydroponics micro and bloom.

that was exactly my understanding of it. what i meant was that it seems like a better choice than going for loads of different nutes and additives and ending up confused and maybe worse off in the end. and yes it will be down to my vigilance and skill set to get a good yeild. can you explain what you mean by cleaner reservoirs??

Cleaner reservoirs just means there is less crap floating around in your res. Some of those additives are thick like motor oil and they will turn your reservoir dark brown sometimes stain your roots and the walls of your reservoir or buckets. With the Lucas system it's very clean because you are just adding micro and bloom thats all I meant. Less mess and less bottles.

ah, makes sense. well thanks for the input. what nutes/schedule do you use? are u using dwc?
I ran DWC for a few years, its the first way I learned how to grow. I used General Hydroponics and most of their additives during my DWC runs. The past couple of years I got into using coco coir and I like it I been using House and Garden nutes and their additives.

coco is another option i would like to explore in the future. soil seems the most reliable but slow. hydro can go terribly wrong in a short space of time but has rapid growth.
