You mean only 6 inches from the canopy? If this is so let me take a guess, you bought the cob on ebay? If not want make/model is it? What MA is it driven at?

Yeah I got a cheaper one to kind of get the feel of the whole COB business, I have bought a few chinese lights for testing / comparisons and they all make me the money back and then some. I just give away the ones that I am not fond of and the people receiving them are more than happy because they usually had nothing before that.
Same with nutrients, I try this and that and if I don't think it is worth adding to my water but still has some value I pass it around. I have yet to find a nutrient or light that doesn't do SOMETHING worthwhile but I have seen a lot of snake oils.
I don't make it a habit to waste money, I also have all high quality lights up right now.
really just wanted to see what the cobs were about on the cheapest level. If I need a cob or two I will look into the more expensive ones but I am done shopping for 6 months.
