Yeah I got a cheaper one to kind of get the feel of the whole COB business, I have bought a few chinese lights for testing / comparisons and they all make me the money back and then some. I just give away the ones that I am not fond of and the people receiving them are more than happy because they usually had nothing before that. You mean only 6 inches from the canopy? If this is so let me take a guess, you bought the cob on ebay? If not want make/model is it? What MA is it driven at?
I don't make it a habit to waste money, I also have all high quality lights up right now.Sure a 100 watt cfl will do something and obviously make your money back.
there really is no comparison between cheap leds and cree/bridgelux.
when you see a 10 watt Chinese cob putting out 1100 lumens it may put that out but it's at .250 away from the light itself.
Once you see a cza3070 in person you will never think about using Chinese again
