Aero cloner - quick advice

First time cloning using a diy aero-cloner and just looking for some quick advice

I built an aero-cloner using a water pump, mini-sprayers, and a sterilite tub. This is based off the diy aero-cloner you see all over the web.

I bought a couple different types of mister heads at home depot and couldn't really get them to "mist" or "fog" as they were supposed to do. So, I used 180 degree sprayers instead. I don't have the sprayers spraying directly on the stems, but mist is getting to them because the stems are dripping.

The stems are dripping about once a second. Are they getting too much water or is that about right?

I'm using a Rio 800 for 8 spray heads. Do I need more pressure to make the mister heads "mist" or do I need to go to a hydro store and get high quality misters?

I have the pump on all the time. I've read where this is the best way to get the fastest roots and I've also read that 15 minute on/off works better. Any comments?

I've got 2x24" florescents 12" above the cuttings. One is on the blue side and the other is warm. Is this okay for lighting? I know it's supposed to be "indirect", but that doesn't tell me all that much.

Love my vaporizer

I use the Arizer Extreme. Start my balloon at about 225c and raise it 5c every 15 seconds or so until it's at 250c and let the rest of the balloon fill.

...then I consume the balloon...

...and that's how I travel through time and space without modern technology

Do you vape? What do you use?

I would say start within 75% - 80% of max temp and play with it from there. Every vape is different but that seems to work for me when using new vaporizers.

ya thanks ive been doing it on 300 out of 400 deg so its working but might be burning weed too much..this weed is black at the end like i just blazed a bowl out of a bong so not sure

Oh yeah, you're burning way too hot. One of the big reasons why I vape instead of smoke is because of the flavor. I'm real anxious to get my hands on some blueberry strains

It really does taste better than the actual smoke. Also, you vape so that you don't get the really bad chemicals (carcinogens) that you get upon ignition. Back it off a bit and you'll see that you'll get a great high without the bad taste, coughing, tight chest, lung damage, etc...

Does your's have a balloon? If not then that may be something you want to look at when you want to get more from a vaporizer. I fill up my balloon and toke it in over 10 minutes for a high that lasts 2 hours.

The Arizer Extreme was only $300. It does everything the volcano does plus it's got a remote. The tech support is incredible. Every time I order something from them they send me extra pieces just for the hell of it. Check them out.

Also, make sure you're not putting too much weed in the bowl
make sure you don't pack it down much (just lightly)
if it's burning on a lower temperature then you may need to draw harder on the whip. If the element is too hot then a slow draw will ignite it. Try drawing fast and hard for a shorter duration to see if that helps.

its a box with a whip and it works well for 80 so im stoked for now..not in for a better safer smoke just in it to get a slightly different high at a price i couldnt resist when a good glass piece goes from 150 to forever ahah

I hear ya

They're pretty pricey. The high is quite a bit different. But, since you don't mind smoking, make sure you don't dump your leftovers. You can smoke them and they'll get you pretty baked. It's a little harsh so use a bong. It's like dried up weed but it's still quite potent.

do you keep the clear part of the tup out in the open.. basicaly can light get into your tub.. roots dont like light.

No, I have clothes pins epoxied to the top. I hang a towel in front of it. That way I can peek inside without having to lift the top. I painted a clear tub with black flexi-plastic spray paint. I taped off the area for the window.

I did this with my other system as well but I also marked where each gallon was so I could monitor how much the plants were drinking and how much water I should add. It works really well.
