Aerogarden - Brownish specs on leafs

Everything has been going fine with my two plants, untill recently i've noticed these brownish specs on the leaves of my 3 inch seedlings! Im not sure If its nute burn, i've been using the nutes that came with the aerogarden so it could be that. I have a couple photos if yall wana take a look and diagnose the problem, thanks! :lol: :leaf:


P.S Im not sure If this is thread worthy or not, just didnt know where else to look/post haha.

Actually? I found that the ph was a lil low around 6 - 6.5 but i HAVE seen bugs in the room. Should I use a solution to kill the bugs?

your ph should be 5.8.......6.0 is ok

Your pix arent showing so cant tell what your talking about on the leaves. you shouldnt have a problem with the AG nutes.

Sorry hehe, this should be them. Thanks for the reply dude, I also have a seed from the areogarden pod growing in the same pod as the plant. I have two plants, and the other plant seems unscathed and perfectly normal.

I had the same thing or something very similar with mine in the beginning. I think it was a combination of things. Once I had everything where it should be they did fine. pH just under 6, some good fresh air flow, temps and humidity just right, and some good nutes to feed em because I swear mine were just hungry. The ag nutes are not very stable and tend to burn from what I have read. People swear by the fox farm trio or the general hydroponics flora series. I am using the technaflora system http://www.technaflora.com/products.php?product=18
You can get it online or at your local hydro shop for about $30. I started out at 1/4 strength and slowly raised it every feeding and am now only at 2/3 strength. Mine is doing nice check out the link in my signature. Good luck man.

Awesome man, good advice. I will for sure get some fox nutes so my plants won't starve. I went over your log for a solid 15 min and got some solid tips aswell. Going to do a water change tonight, and also get a fan to give ma babies some fresh air.
The next thing is off-topic from my subject, but I recently bought a air pump - put it in right away? I see roots coming out of the bottom of the pods, so I'm guessing start er up. hehe

Yup put it right in and keep it on 24/7.

Ok well that hasn't seemed to help. still brown specs and now the leafs are DROOPING!!! I have a pump going, fan, lights. I went out and bought some mericale growth and put less then a teaspoon in the reservoir with half a nute from the aerogarden. Hopefully that will clear things up if they are lacking nutes.
I went to buy some fox nutes today but no stores had them, and if that really is the case then I will just have to order some.
Hoping they spring back :S

I have read bad thing about miracle grow. You want nutrients that are made for hydroponics. And combining the ag nute tab won't help either. I've seen people have success with just the ag nute tabs but only hear bad thing about miracle grow.

I just wrote a huge ass paragraph but It got deleted, wahhhh!! hahaha. But here is a shorter version. Your right, going to use the AG nutes till i get the foxfarms. If your intrested Ive posted pic's of my setup, I have two weed plants at the back and i got four plants that came with the AG in the front. Its a pretty good disguise I'd like to think lol, anyways one of the AG seeds is growing in the same pod as the brown specked merry jane plant, in contrast to my other healthy looking plant. Pic's of this too, do you think it affects nutrients and root growth of the brown specked plant? Heres so fffhhhootooossss ! :-o

OK about this mold, I just recently looked in all of my pods, and most have this white " mold " on top of the soil. Its nasty, what the heck should I do >< ?

Theres alot of white, covers the whole soil.

I think you need to clean it some how or remove them. I had that in one of my pods and the seed didn'y germ that I placed in it. I tossed it in the trash. I think it comes from AG with them spores.

Yeah shit, the bottoms leafs still look like they are rusting. I think there is still mold hehe, although the new leafs are coming in down have any " rust " on them
