Aerogarden seed pods

Hi, I just got a used aerogarden off craigs and it didn't come with seed pod holders or w/e you call them. I dont want to spend 20 on these things online, any idea how i could improvise and make my own or any local stores sell them?

You can use any sponge, material, just make a good choice, and your going to need somthing to hold the sponges above the water, and to support the plant

call up your local hydroponic/organic grow store and see if they have the pods, I made the mistake of payin the 20 bucks and they only give you 3 pods, such a rip off, you can get them for like 80 cents each at a grow store

i dont have a hydroponics store near me. if there is a how to make these, please post it. also about the sponges, how tight shiuld they be on the seed and how much light shud be reching the seed inside the sponge?

there is no store near you? thats weak, check ebay possibly,

You dont want any light to touch the sponge, it will create slimy mold. After a few days i just loosely wrapped some tin foil around the stock of my plant
