Aerogarden Ultra LED Grow Journal

I think it would be worth a try by adding some cfl lights on the sides or using the hoods from prior aero machines at a added light.
That would eliminate some of the stretching. Last time I used my aero garden ultra with an and auto blueberry I got 53 dry grams, much more than expected.
Hey I would like to know more about your aerogarden grow

Hey OP and everyone,
I use an AeroGarden Ultra LED and have gotten fantastic results. Not a single mod was made to the AG... even using the standard nutes that came with the package. Only addition is some Alaska Fish Fert that acts as a pH down and provides a little supplemental nourishment. If you're interested in any of pics I can get a journal going. Just wanted to add my 2 cents that I believe these Ultra LED hoods are a step in the right direction for us GreenThumbs and can produce pretty amazing results with little time, effort, cost and energy.
Peace,
immr
Do you have any pics ? Of a good grow?

[/ Quote]

Omg that aero garden didn't yield shit I'm having buyers remorse
Idk I'm happy with aerogarden for a cloner or seed starter. I think it's an awesome tool for learning basics of hydroponics but yields are small. I've moved up to 5 gallon bucket system with sprayers looking forward to next grow with much higher yields. I also use old ag's to grow romaine and herbs in winter. It's great for that and a learning tool but doesn't hold enough water or room for big root systems if you want big yields gotta upgrade to buckets minimum. But the ag is a fun way to learn

Growing out autoflowers start to finish in the Aerograden can be done. Next time I'm growing a single plant instead on two in this unit.
Which light hood ? CFL or LED? I was very successful with ag extra LED with added airstone and pump plus 8 CFL s on sides and light booster mylar from AG. A northern lights and a Afghani indica ladies but not autos. I yielded 2.75 oz. dried and cured of NL and 2.25 oz dried and cured afgahani. It can be a good way to learn about hydroponics.

I've since switched to a 4 bucket 5 gallon RDWC w/ 1150gph recirculating water pump and a 571 air pump w/ LG stones in each bucket w/ mini fridge chiller in res. Under a king 800 watt LED with IR and a 250 watt CFL as supplemental lighting. 3rd step up from AG.

But the Aerogarden is an awesome tool to learn and experiment with. Frequent water changes is a great idea after flowering stage began before I made chiller in it was getting hot in grow room. Tried to keep water temp under 70 as much as I could. I started changing res every 5 days instead of weekly and added great white to defend against root rot. When they designed the new bounty they should've tripled the res capacity that's the only drawback of growing in the ag. I did receive some free chocolate auto seeds with my last seed order, I'm planning on growing one in my ag extra LED in corner of tent
