aerogarden

I need your help! I recently purchased one of those aero gardeners but I have the smaller version. I planted about 6 white widow seeds only 2 sprouted up. Then about 2 weeks later I started to see root rot. I don't know what I'm doing wrong! Can you please break everything down for me like how much water to use to what type of lights and etc. Thanks

I was wondering how are you guy's doing with the AG? I was looking at stealing the wifes and using it! Now I don't have any auto flowering strains but I was gonna use some of my clones and stick in there! How should I set this up? Do you run the normal top on it with the light's?

I started with some Canadian seeds on April 1. My AG came with tomato seeds and the nutrients for tomatos. I removed the tomato seeds and replaced them with the Canada ak47 seeds. It took all my will power but I only used the three cups and only put one seed in each cup.
Questions-- Does anyone know what plat of all the diff yypes it would be best to set the AG For. I set mine for Herbs (instead of Tomatos, strawberrys, flowers etc). It seemed that the herbs would be closest in requirements to the seeds I planted. I would like to also uses the spacer holes to start more seedlings. Has anyone out there done that?
Any other suggestions?

I have 2 aeros,never been happy with their growth and not much room-I use mine for cloning stations and the lights for small plants.My pics. show it,even my dwarf ganja you could get 2 small plants.If you can go dirt or pro.hydroponics.
Use your aero for cloning and growing plants a few inches then dirt.never ending supply.teddybear do what I do get them seeds in dirt or you'll lose them.

i do agree it has a small rez,but with more light it is possible to grow 2 decent plants.u woulndt go expecting more 2.5-3 ounces max.

I have been using my aero garden so wrong and am just starting to realize just what I should do. I think it is best to top when they are about 19" cause the hood only goes up to 21". I am thinking that maybe I should only grow one plant at a time though....any suggestions

Use a Aero to start plants in my a bucket <3.00 dollars each > at your hardware store <cuz its cleaner ten used> then buy a high grade air pump for a fish tank Buy a net on the net About 3inch & 1/2 one of those things to cut with a drill In the lid of the bucket Thats where the plant grows Thoses nets are about 3 dollars for 4 of them i use 2
per bucket & a large air stone

about 20 dollars for the light
Thats about 40 watts Youneed one for growing & one for buding the one for buding
Has more red about it i forget the grow one i think its kind of blue

I finnally ran my aerogarden and I feel it was A waste of my time and my nutes! I was just using it for an experiment and was not happy at all.....

Well yellowing sounds like something i had a problem with & Root rot i have never had a problem with Are you changing the water every two weeks ?
maybe you should every week if so

When they're about another inch taller you might want to might want to put them under a gentle fan breeze to toughen them up.
You want four to eight stems and that's usually around eight inches or taller before you start pruning to bush it out.

Sounds like you've got water/nutrient problems. I like clean white roots. How does the tank smell?
Howe often are you changing your nutrient/water? How many plants are you trying to grow at one time. Two to three are pretty much the limit.

ok i know this is an old thread but i have a unique situation i believe the ag will suit perfectly plus i got one cheap.
i cannot complete a grow where i am atm but can pop and prep ladies for others, im ver good at it and have a huge genetic collection that is constantly growing.
my question is, can i use th ag soley as a 'nursery' of sorts, to raise ladies to sex then transplant and off to a new home?
