Aeroponic reservoir help/input needed

I've been growing in soil for some time now but would like to give the aeroponic thing a try. I'm sure I'll have questions about which misters and pumps to go for, but for now I'm trying to get the basic structure planned and built before I get into those questions and purchases.

I little about my grow - 5 plant flowering area. 10 week flowering time. 1 plant harvested every two weeks, 1 plant added every two. (though I am curious if this is going to change moving to an aero setup vs the soil) What I am looking to do is create 5 aero chambers sitting on top of a reservoir where the water can drain back into. I am going to use 5 gallon pots that were once used for soil. They have holes in the bottom for drainage which I will make up a gasket to mate the pot to the reservoir so there are no leaks. I am thinking two misters per pot for a total of ten. Not set on a pump or misters - so I am open to comments there.

Right now my mental block and road block is my reservoir. It needs to be 48x48x no more then 6 inches high. Even at that I will have more then enough water to combat heat build up so I can keep the water nice and cool. If its shorter - no biggie. My problem is finding such a container. Any one have any ideas?

My last resort will be purchasing the sheet metal and welding myself up a reservoir though I'd rather not do it. I've though of using plexiglass but dont like the idea of relying on the glue to hold it together. 35-60 gallons of water on my floor would not be fun.

Any and all help would be much appreciated!!!bongsmilie

Gotta think about the different nutrients that the girls will need during flower. What about flushing? Gotta set it up with a few reservoirs or 1 per aero unit.

Not worried about that end - its not like I can't empty reservoir and fill it back up with what is needed.

Ahhhhhhhhh... Sorry about that.

That might actually make my issue easier to deal with, just a few extra bucks in pumps.

What size pump could I use for just 2 misters (Which ever good ones, haven't done much research there yet)?

Not sure what your budget is but here is a place that sells some. I have used some of the rectangle water and waste containers and they are sturdy, I think they are 3/8. They sweat in fitting and inspection ports

Rubbermaid totes work well but you could just use a 3 gallon bucket under it with a hole in the top of the lid for plumbing to the sprayers, drain, and pump cord. Think 150 gph would work and use ez clone sprayers. Red and screw into 1/2" schedule 40 pvc with 11/32" holes. Not sure about the pump size, I use a 396 gph for up to 24 sprayers. Might think about bubbleponics or dwc. Good luck.
