aeroponics/nutrients question/receipe for success

Hello, I am a newbie to hydro and need some assistance understanding how nutrients work. I have an aeroponics hydro system that is 10 to 15 gallons. I have one of the receipe for success kits by technaflora and understand i should start with a little less than they suggest and check ph, ppm, etc. They refer to mixing the nutrients with a gallon of water is where I am confused. So if I have my aerponics setup using 10 gallons in the tank then would I just mix up 1 gallon of the nutrient solution every 2 weeks or is it the nutrient solutions times 10 for how many gallons of water i have in the system? I have read mixed postings as to what to do and appreciate your response.

Yeah times ten. Those nutrients should work pretty good. Go light to start. 1/4 strength or 450 ppm or so. There is now buffer between the roots and the nutrients like in soil. Your roots will tell the tale. Good luck.

ok thanks. glad i ordered two of them then cause i might need both kits for one round using 10 gallon tank. for future reference is there another brand that is easier, cheaper yet quality on the market you recommend? using the receipe success kit on a 10 to 15 gallon aeropnics could get expensive unless the results deem otherwise. still waiting to find that out. appreciate your input

I use the Fox Farms nutrients. Only the Hydro Grow Big , Tiger Bloom and the Cha-Ching. The Big Bloom is for soil application. Botanicare works well too, and they are both organic nutrients. Technafloras nutes are chemical except for the Thrive alive. To each their own. Hope someone else chimes in with an opinion. More input the better.

Your going to need a lot of nutrients for that large of a res. I went with a 4 gallon res just because of that fact.

In the recipe for success kit, you will run out of Boost. If you can find another 1/2 liter bottle, the kit will last for a 15 gal grow/bloom.

Ok good info thank you. do i even need to go 15 gallons for 8 plants then? Could I be ok with 10 or less? how is this determined?

Ive used 6 net cups before in an 8 gallon res. so 10 gallon should fit 8 plants although they would be crowded.
