hi was thinking about setting up a room that has an aeroflo60 with skylights on the roof to allow natural sunlight to enter the room while using a 1000w HPS on a light mover to supplement it. does anyone out there think that this would be a bad idea? the only trouble i could imagine running into is that my plants would hermaphrodite due to the funky light cycle it would get during flowering because its summer time and there is going to be more than 12 hours of sunlight from outside; however it wouldn't be more than 12 hours of DIRECT sunlight. I plan on leaving my HPS on a 12/12 schedule. Any thoughts is greatly appreciated.

Any light passed the 12 hour mark will keep plants in veg state.

You can get sliding shutters, even motorized and on timers if you like, for your skylights. I love skylights.
