Good day/evening all welcome to my set up. Good a time as any to spark up as I bring you all up to speed.
First off this was an exploratory effort in recent hybrids from a dear friend who was caretaking his buddy growing the herb Diablo and Skywalker and the occasional White Widow for relief. Upon his death, flower had begun and all the plants were allowed to seed with a White Widow male in his honor. These hybrids are the 1st generation in his memory.
The tent: cheap and 5x5x7 but metal framed and black gasket sealer did the job for light leaks.
the light: cheap but soundly made. iplant 1000w LED and as of today one of my Mars Hydro 300w from a few years ago I pulled out for temp reinforcement.
one ground fan: Honeywell HT900. Awesomeness.
one 4" inline w a 4" carbon scrub both Vivosun.
Two Three gallons, multiple 1g's and a 7 gallon complete lark.
Living Organic Soil, w mycos, red worm compost, powdered seaweed and upon repotting a mix of 50/50 perlite to soil.
the Vision: find the winner while exploring responses to different stressors, then initiate breeding program.
the Unexpected: be given strong cuts from a 30 yr private grow of Afghan #1 crossed w Super Skunk, said to not ever been bred w anything else. So far of that I have 3 phenotypes.
the surprise: I am waay ahead of seed stage, as of this posting it is week 6.2 of flower.
In this first picture, my tightly stacked af afg x ss pheno 1. the stalked smells of burnt rubber and Moracan hash at that time. the next photo is as of yesterday.
Not the biggest buds w 2 weeks to go but fairly consistent in growth, slow cold 2 + month veg, long winter and soil compacted, fixed that for 2.0 generation.
What is there is dense citrus burnt rubber funk. Def trimming it harder in the fan leaf dept and farther up each cola, yet still covered in trics w 2 weeks max.
Obligatory bud shot:

Afg x SS pheno 2, the fluffier bud boogaloo: stricter manifold less lst:
This smells of pink grapefruit lemony swamp skunk.
Skywalker x W Widow, yes there is a commercial variety marketed as White Walker btw. This is pure sweet orange w sandalwood hash behind it, love that. Leaf fade has just begun though i reckon two perhaps three weeks max, but truly hard like a brick colas, decent production of trichs but not what's in my vision.
... about that, uh awkward AF design there was a bend to the main cola and that is when I found out Skywalker's tend to break. TDIL: fragile, top only no bendy bendy. The long branch to the left shot out as the stem recovered. (the top went on to clone and lead a productive life in the bungalow veg room like a boss.) like yoga flowing w it. Regardless what showed up next to it in another 1 gal is hitting all the right marks genetically the rest is to be dialed in and breeding will commence.
What I like: tight dense reasonably sized colas pure white and iced liked it rolled in crushed diamonds. Sativa characteristics in the leaf suggest maybe a stronger Sativa dom hoping for a solid Afghan body slam somewhere in the end. For sure the White Widow had a say in the genome distribution, trichs are large stout stems, clear as day too atm. It's a keeper in my book, male skywlker x ww pollen already grown and saved, harvested one week ago. I've several clones of this for breeding .
More in the next post. Thank you for your presence .
