Afghan Kush - 8Weeks Flower- Not Ready?

This are AK buds, grown from clones, flowered for 8 weeks. The 1st pic is better I think.

The trichs are cloudy and advancing, I guess.
The harvest time lists 45-55 days (WOS via Dr Chronic- big ups to the Doc)

When do ya'll thing this stuff is gonna be ready?:?

...I know it's great quality stuff, with a cure especially, from a prior grow - from seed. These clone buds seem MUCH danker but I'm trying to let the trichs start getting amber ...5 days past recommended harvest and there's like 50% red hairs or less.

Grown under 800 watts of HPS
Soil - Ocean Forest
Ferts:
Fox Farm - Big Bloom, Grow Big, Tiger Bloom
Flower Finisher - Humboldt County's "Gravity" (rock hard buds), BLACK STRAP!!!

I've Double Flushed and Gradually transitioned to 10/14.

What's up? I know all I can do is wait...but I don't want to miss peak harvest when amber trichs just aren't coming in time or something. Should I wait?

I wish the pic showed trichs...but oh well.

It gets totally isolated 12 hour dark periods too....and the photo is called "AK Week7"...that was a mistake.

Thanks theink!!...that helps my qualms with letting it go longer.

I'd still like to know possible reasons for latency that haven't ruled out with my grow bio.

Do they look ruffly right for 8 weeks?....about how long does anyone think I should wait if I were not monitoring trichs?...which I am of course;)

There's 95% cloudy.....seen maybe 1 amber trich(maybe) in the whole garden

But I have a hard time identifying Clear/Cloudy....and I've seen a couple close up diagrams and stuff

If I had the tech to photo trichs I would...what is needed, I'm assuming I can't strap my 30x Miniscope to my digital camera

thanks chuckstown....I'm gonna wait it out. Time is not a factor, just honestly concerned about not missing peak.

ChiTown- several...

here's another round much like the current. Just waiting for the others to finish to transplant and throw under HPS.

The single clone is SnowWhite - which comprises half of both crops. It naturally split, like it were topped...I know this happens but it's a first for me.

Do I get 2 normal sized/big colas...or more like two 1/2-3/4 sized colas or one big,one small (like happens with topped plants often)

The last pic is a SnowWhite at 8 weeks, alongside the Afghans. The calyxes are quite swollen all over...like it's oozing resin. Still though...all cloudy triches, maybe one amber.

I guess my real questions are:
Can it sometimes take upwards of 10 weeks to flower an Indica?
Is harvesting when the trichs are cloudy, but not amber, though the calyxes swollen, a bad idea.

I realize that some prefer higher thc to cbd yadyada.....bottom line, will I be missing out if I harvest now?...8 weeks, all cloudy.
Many leaves are turning yellow/withering, which can be natural at end of cycle....but is there a point where THC starts degrading prior to turning AMBER(like REALLY red)?

ps I know I'm new...a Stranger actually. but I appreciate any advice you all give. I have also given the courtesy of reading up on any questions before seeking help. IE I've read every "grow sites" "GrowFAQ"

thanks again

A week, huh? Thanks!

That must mean the trichs sometimes start quickly turning amber...all of a sudden? Less gradual than I expected.

I've had several grows but always just monitored for red hairs and fully swollen calyxes....now I'm down to observe trichs and ensure peak potency...
Hopefully I will see gainful results...much stronger weed would be amazing for just waiting a few extra weeks.

yeah but you gotta think about it like this, A week is a long fucking time for a PLANT!! lol it really is. That's 8th of most plants lives.

youre right dude. I'll give it a week+ and see where I'm at.

maybe given it more than 14 hrs dark, perhaps that'll speed it up?

NO!! Keep it where you got it. For the last 24-36 hours of it's life, Shade it [ no light ] that way they can use the last bit of nutes in those burnt up leaves and swell up a lil more. You dont have to but it helps [ trichs get bigger] I did 24 hours of total dark on my first grow and seen a much better product then when i last had the lights on.

I thought the "burnt up leaves", or at least the yellow, was from the end of cycle when the flowers dominate the fert intake...leaving little for the leaves.
I'm not saying anything contrary...I'm just not fully informed I supposed

I was planning on giving 24 hr dark b4 harvest...cuz I heard I should. Now I know why. I'll leave the lights as is and give it like 30-36 hours dark b4 harvest.

for real...thanks for the help.

Thats also part of it, Just remember as long as they have green, they have nutes in them. The plant itself is redirecting the nutes.

I was originally just confused because the NIRVANA "SnowWhite" (recommends 8 weeks flower) is seemingly finishing FASTER than the WOS Afghan Kush(which has a breeder recommended flower time of 45-55 days).

growncrazy: why can't u?...It's not magic. Lights...nutes...attention. In fact...if you follow my light/nute(1/2strength recommended)/GENETICS! formula I threw together, shouldn't you get damn close nugs

referring to my last post...post before last. my confusion may have been bcuz Snow White MAY tend to have BIGGER calyxes, or ones that get bigger FASTER.
