They feel their product is worth a certain price point in the market and you call it greed.

Just say the price point is not at what you want to spend on seeds.

People spend money on what they get enjoyment out of and also an experience to get.

A 3rd party verification on genetics or THC/cannabinoid % would be completely useless because the pant they grow and then you and I grow could be completely diffrdiff in the end due to growing ability or lack there of, etc... They sell for the prices that they do because they claim that these are very rare and limited strains and a product is only worth what people are willing to pay for said product! And clearly someone's paying these prices! I have seen a few black lime reserve crosses the past year or two. I myself wouldn't pay these prices it's rediculous and I've experimented with breeding $4.00 strains and $150.00 strains and in all honesty I've bred some absolute BANGERS with cheap shit!! Hey I don't knock them for getting away with the pricing and I could sell my strains that I've created for a rediculous price and claim how RARE OR LIMITED AVAILABILITY they are. Idk but plants(any plant in the world) are an open source such as some software on your computer, etc... Drives me nuts when people on here say that you NEED TO GET PERMISSION to breed there strain!????? You can't own a plant! You can with the strains name but that's as far as that goes. Look at that bullshit BCBD website that says they have strains that regrow after harvest with thc% of 50% and up or they have a strain that will keep you high for 12-24hrs!! And the price is even more rediculous then aficianados prices but clearly some tarts are buying into that bs!!!

The seed game is like the music game, just because someone else is successful doesn't mean that you will be yourself!

Who is to say anyone would purchase your seedstock for $500. The people aficionado was affiliated with sold the packs.

Right now if you are claiming a strain or what not it is very easy to get a plant genome test aswell.

There is No Company that claims 50% Thc and up. You are now making strawman arguments!

If anyone doesn't agree with a price point of an item for sale in life, they the consumer have a choice not to purchase the item the end.

Anyhow the people that aficionado uses to make his genetics is whom I would go for.

Just curious, what is the price of those seeds that are higher then aficionados?

Lots of info on growing here, 3-5 dollar apiece seeds he was referring to I believe. Lots of reading and searching ahead mate. Pollenate with any poly hybrid and you'll have thousands of free seeds of many many phenotypes to play with.....even with 2 f2 100 dollar seeds you'll get the same wonderful genetic hodgepodge most 'breeders' are 'working with' and calling a "strain". LOL

Looks like someone was selling counterfeit packs of Aficionado. Aficionado didn't say who was selling them, which is unfortunate. Aficionado sent real packs to people who bought counterfeits.

Old thread I know. Yea so I live and work on a legal farm in Humboldt county. I have met leo stone personally super cool guy and laid back. I will just say this if you had people buying out your seed drop within weeks and charge $600 would you lower them?

Taking weeks to sell out of seeds is a long time in the seed biz. Most of the hottest seed drops sell out in a few hours and people still don’t charge $600 for them.

But it is interesting that you admit the price has nothing to do with the quality of the genetics, but the fact he is able sell them for so much.
