only thing that annoys me about a government shutdown is that they TRY to say you can't go into national parks.
I'm saying FUCK that and I'm going to go hiking, if this government is still shut down in may when I start going hiking I"m gonna flip a bitch and go anyways, fuck them treating us like little kids that can't go into national forest land without getting told off like we shouldn't be there without our supervisors watching us....fuckin arrogant pricks.
they assume we're gonna just wreck the public parks if there aren't people to keep the peace, which simply isn't true.
oh well I can almost guarantee the only thing stopping me from hiking where I live will be those lame national forest service gates that are easy to get past

The government shutting down for a few days will have absolutely no bearing on our everyday lives. The news is sensationalizing this to boost ratings.
If the government shuts down for anything longer than that... then yea, there might be some problems. But it won't come to that.

I'm not worried about that.
but it pisses me off that this basically shows that the government has the power to lock us out of our natural forest land just because they don't have their payed overseers there.... which I think is pretty fucked up.
that's kinda like getting a hiking permit to hike, wtf? this shit is a big part of some peoples lives, and it used to be a natural part of EVERYONE's life, now we can have that barred off from us, and have permits and permission asked of us???

I really hope the people realise they need to get the power back from the Corporationparty A and Corporationparty B. (I know, you call them Dems and Reps, but they all act on money not on what the people want).
This is why I don't blame the American people, but if they DON'T wake up soon I will blame it on them.

THEY arent going to be getting paid. Even some in AFGHANISTAN RIGHT NOW wont be getting paid.
My best friend thru all of high school is in the army, he was in Afghan for 8 months, then he had a 1600lb trailer fall on his hand and it shattered it.
Hes back on base now doing well, but I think its fucked up that our ruling bodies would even CONSIDER that being an option...........ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?

THe fuckup with socialism is this, you get taxed so that govenrment can supposedly pay for police to protect you and your property, a judicial system for overview, an educational system that gives ourr children the skills to care for us in old age. etc... instead, they spend the money on poor social services that enable the poor classes to flourish, i.e. buying votes.
It sounds cruel but us people are worse than bacteria in a petri dish when it comes to breeding more despite there clearly not being enough resources. Then the other side of the coin, those people who live lives of exemplary choices are normaly the first ones who decide not to have children, further screwing things up.

That seems like such a tough issue to me. I know the earth is obviously over populated...but what can we do about it now? We cant just go around with gun squads.
And I would bet if something happened and it was a survival of the fittest...we'd lose 80% of the population alone. It'd be complete chaos.
Its just like in all the movies where those things happen...you see everyone panicking killing eachother and there is the one lone person yelling at everyone to calm down, etc...then THAT person ends up dying.
