After planting my seed do I keep it in the dark still or can I put it under a low watt bulb like a cfl? +rep for answers.

I keep mine under floros but I am sure a cfl would work fine, just be extra careful. CFL's can easily burn a seedling.

i usually keep it dark for about a couple days then give it light and if your using cfl keep it very close like 2 inches from the top of the pot and try and keep it warm seeds love temps of 60+ degrees and to keep it moist use someplastic wrap and poke tiny holes in it so that it gets air and green houses its self also if you have cloning powder or rooting hormones use a tiny bit of that with your water so it makes the seeds germinate alot faster bro. hope all that helps

if its in the dirt then light dont matter at this point, might make the soil a little warm, which is probably good. but all in all it dont matter. but if you go to bed at 12, and it sprouts at 1230 then you will want the light on it.

You can start it on its normal light cycle immediately after sowing the seed. The light isn't necessary to make the seed sprout, but you want light on it as soon as it breaks the surface. Doesn't make a difference either way really.

As soon as the seed pops thro the soil you want to get the light on them asap so they dont stretch. A low watt cfl will be fine for each plant just make sure that you keep it about 1-3 in away from plant....good luck my friend

When the seed is young and just sprouting it should be dark, but once it sprouts place it in a plastic wrap dome to keep moisture in and avoid the sprout from drying up.

Most important thing is 80 degrees and high humidity (a dome of some type). I put mine ontop of the deep freezer cause its warm up there and in 2 days they should be rdy for light.

Check my lowryder out its 13 inches tall and 2 feet wide growing under hps and dual spectrum cfls (daylight and soft white) i have many strains that ive grown from grand daddy purp to nevilles haze and even a special breed of hijack

I had to second that.
If you put your planted medium under light, the seedling is not going to get light until it breaks the surface anyhow. The sun doesn't shut off or keep seedlings in the dark.. it's fine to do either.. but you don't necessarily NEED to put them in the dark.
