AG Garland appoints special counsel

I think he doesn’t have the time. Between James, Willis and Smith he is in a triple bind. It’s more a matter of when than of if, I believe.
he has weaseled his way out too many times for me but i hope you are right. i think a jury in NY and DC are gonna slaughter him. i could care less about federal charges. state charges are what will hopefully put most of the trump family behind bars

What he has always done is run out the clock in civil matters, and keep criminal matters from coming into focus. This time the justice community is making it much harder for him and the lawyers he has left over to pull the usual shenanigan. Like an earthquake too long delayed, the energy has not stopped accumulating, so it’s gonna be a big’un.

I know I'm optimistic, but this is entirely possible, Donald could be in federal custody when his TV trial in Georgia begins, maybe not his plea hearing, but probably for his trial. Donald could show up for his Georgia TV trial in orange and his TV trial will be the one that gets the coverage and will have the biggest impact.

The thing is Donald left himself wide open over the secret documents and forced Garland's hand. He was warned many times by layers and staff, but was his usual pigheaded stubborn self, it is too good an opportunity to put him away quickly before the main action begins over J6 and that is exactly what Jack is doing. With the Kingpin gone his cronies and minions are naked in the sunlight and the only ones to sell for time off are senators and congress people who furthered a conspiracy by their words and actions (votes after the riot) on J6. They know what the said and agreed to with Trump's people at meetings with people that Jack will have by the fucking balls!

This is gonna be entertaining, we will soon be into the "punishment" phase and that will begin with grand juries, not indictments, those on the pardon list wanted one for a reason...

agreed. jack smith was the worst thing to happen to trumpf. and that judge cannon is gonna be removed from duties soon too
She will be out of the picture on this case and her rep is trashed for nothing, Donald wiped his ass with her like so many lawyers! Jack looks like a giant killer to me, and he has Donald worried, someone must have hammered it into his thick skull, or his mean picture in purple impressed him.

yeah, i don't understand giving up your career for a con man. but she's gonna deal with that for the rest of her coulda been long career.

i think going after his wife and family now is shameful. but the long haul trumpers dont see anyting wrong with it

It's what a DC federal judge thinks about it when Jack's people bring it up at his plea hearing and his lawyer is trying to get him conditions of release. When he is indicted, he will be treated no better or worse than someone indicted for a similar crime (theft of hundreds of classified documents). Most people don't make bail for that upon indictment and are remanded in custody until trial, shit everybody else would have been in jail from the moment of the search! So, walking out of his plea hearing will be quite a lift for his lawyers anyway, aside from what pours out of his piehole in the meantime while he is spooked. The cuffs could go on right in the courtroom with the US marshals wrestling him to the floor when they try to put them on as Donald freaks and thrashes around!

Can anyone tell me what the procedure is for undoing Judge Cannon?
https://www.whitehouse.gov/about-the-white-house/our-government/the-judicial-branch/

"Federal judges can only be removed through impeachment by the House of Representatives and conviction in the Senate. Judges and Justices serve no fixed term — they serve until their death, retirement, or conviction by the Senate. By design, this insulates them from the temporary passions of the public, and allows them to apply the law with only justice in mind, and not electoral or political concerns. "
i'm not sure if they can even reassign her somewhere less volatile. even if they do, where could they put her? a federal district is a federal district, the potential for abuse of powers exist in any of them.

oh well. I would expect Republicans to vote this one en bloc, which means it probably won’t come to the test.

If she tries for another federal appointment this will be thrown in her face at the confirmation hearing, she won't be promoted, her character and competency are suspect. She will also be looked at as a POS by most judges, someone who besmirched their reputations and the integrity of the courts.

she won't need another federal appointment her whole life, this one will either last her for life, or she'll be impeached and never able to serve again.
but yeah, any decent judge would have to look at her with contempt.

A reputation is more important than money to a person of integrity, once honor is lost it is not easily regained, However, she does not seem to be the type concerned about principles, values and integrity.
