Hey Fox and Gypsy,

I'm a newb (obviously). I've been doing tons of research on growing with my AG. I got an AG Pro 200 and I've basically been trying to go off your setup. I didn't want to make another thread asking advice so I figured I would ask here. I just got done reading every page and I would love for my outcome to be similar.

Going off of the Aerogarden Guide and your thread I bought 6500K 1800lumen lights (highest lumens at Home Depot I could find) for initial veg. But I saw you also ran 2700K bulbs at the same time. My question is how many 6500K lights should I run for the first 0-2 weeks (seedlings)? Then for the veg should I use your technique and use 3 6500k and 2 2700k? I don't think I'll get the UV light due to heat reasons so should I add another 2700K to make it 3? I'm growing in a closet I'm going to wrap with Mylar so I have limited space.

If my question seems like rambling, basically what I'm trying to find out is what lights did you use during each stage? Thanks for any help I really appreciate it.

I would say to use 2 of each until you think you should add more. I used only 6500K's for veg, but it's better to have a full spectrum with both of them. I also only used 2700K's during flower.

Really, the amount of lights you need is all based on the size of your plant. You only add more CFLs to distribute light to areas that aren't receiving any.

The UV light isn't required, and I'm not going to be using it again. More like a waste of electricity, haha. Don't get me wrong, it does make a difference, but not enough.

Thanks for the reply. I'll probably only be growing 2 plants max because of the space I have. The space is very tall but it's quite small. I read that guide I was just confused about combining lights. Since my site is small width wise would you advise against topping? Thanks again man!!!

On all of mine, I waited until I had four nodes and just cut one node off. I don't have enough experience to say whether or not that is the best way to do it, but it seemed to work pretty well for me on both occasions.
 
Ok thanks for the help hopefully it all works out I might have to post mine on here when I start because it seems like a lot of knowledge gets passed around here. Nice grow!
 
so i checked my order and the quantity was at 10 for each....now i feel bad..i dont like getting over on ppl but i didnt see that 1 per customer part....ooppps
 
think of it as finding a bag of money on the street
as long as you use it for a good cause, and share some with the less fortunate, its all good :)

haha well shit man!! i lost track lol... i'm pretty sure i knew.. haha. i think we harvested within a week or so of each other actually.
