So yesterday i had what im pretty sure was pot searching helicopters (flying just above the treeline, over fields, woods, etc.) flying over my grow area, i have 9 plants, all of which are about 1 and a half feet tall. the area where they are at was pretty open and next to a stream, so if they looked at them it may have been pretty obvious

Of course when i saw them i was high off my ass and getting kind of paranoid =P

After they made their rounds what seemed like 100 times and left, i went back there and moved 3 to a different location (they are still in gallon pots, but the pots where in the ground), and for the remaining ones i pulled up about ten 5 foot tall bamboo trees (grows wild in my area for some reason) and then planted them around the pot to help conceal it

So, think im good, or is it possible that they saw them already and are just waiting til they start to bud and get bigger to snag them?

First time grower and my plants a beautiful :) im hoping i can continue growing with no worries, so please post your opinions

What state are you in?
I highly doubt they saw your little starter plants from the heli, and definately couldnt tell what they are yet. Wait until they are over your head and bigger than you- then they are easily visable.
They usually wait until right around harvest time or just prior to harvest before they wipe em out.
If you are in cali- No Worries.

Be sure that you keep any evidence of your growing concealed. No white buckets, trash, fertilizer bags, anything that can be spotted from the air.

yea im thinking that

but after they come twice in the same day to the same spot, flying just above the tree line, and i stupidly had them in the open like that, it got me kinda worried

fuck i wish i was in cali, then i'd grow all kinds of crazy strains year round, but no, im in sc :/

9 plants and a chopper just drinks money in gas and resources? It could be search and rescue or lost child or hit and run driver ran into the woods.
99/100 times its something about a lost person.

I know they are looking for big sites and they usually wait till later in the season. im in southern ca and i live in the hills that supposedly mexicans cartels grow in. There have been atleast 2 HUGE busts in the last few years right around my house and I live in LA county. But TODAY i watched from my backyard the local sheriff chopper fly around and check out spots that are visible from my house. That set off a flag in my head. That same chopper has flown over my house and i know they have seen my plants and me tending to them. I have waved at them because i am legal and and am clearly under the legal limits. fuck them is all i have to say...
However, just 5 minutes ago i heard a low flying chopper from inside my house. I looked out my bedroom window and saw a chopper come over the mountain. he circled my house and then went behind the mountain. I had a wierd feeling, especially because i did not know what kind of helicopter it was so i went to the other side of my house and waited. 2 seconds later they come flying by, but this time DIRECTLY over my plants. The chopper was so low i could see the men looking at me in the rear window...but this wasnt the sheriff. It was LA county FIRE

Im not worried, im just curious. Does anyone have an idea if they use county fire dep. choppers for searches...
