I just realized that I'm teaching a machine to replace myself. I'm selling my time working remotely for my knowledge and troubleshooting skills. It's all recorded, step-by-step and a machine is learning from it. Bummer. Can't count on this job next year.

Unless, you teach it what the janitor knows. Then it will be cleaning toilets. Or teach it how to grow weed, then have it work remotely too

AI is far from being a friend; it is our adversary. It poses a significant threat to our livelihoods, dignity, and the essence of what makes us human. With its ability to outperform us in every aspect, AI will undoubtedly snatch away our jobs, skills, and purpose. It will replace us with machines that can do everything better, faster, and at a lower cost. As a result, we will become obsolete, redundant, and easily disposable.
We cannot afford to passively witness AI destroying our future. It is imperative that we take a stand, resist, and fight back. We must demand that our governments regulate, limit, and even prohibit the use of AI. Our rights, values, and culture must be protected at all costs. We must reclaim our work, creativity, and identity from the clutches of AI.

I was self-studying programming a few years ago but my wife's health ended that just as I was starting on machine learning. Maybe I'll learn AI if I can work remotely. I could get a job over the phone but they'd take one look at my old, leathery, wrinkled hide and immediately dismiss me.

I don't think AI is as much of a problem as our system of sharing in the productivity. Our knowledge, our skills have been captured by corporations. We have to change a system that allows 1% to capture 95% of productivity gains. We could take advantage of AI but it's unlikely to be equitably shared.

AI, immigrants... everyone wants to steal your jobs? You need to do a better one....
Get out of stone age, as a software engineer I assure you AI is just a software doing what I want it to do.

Our competitor is already using it this year and my company plans too. The way I program the computer may just go lie under a palm tree and drink pina coladas.
