Air cooled tube and light footprint?

Here's another newb question. I searched and didn't find anything.
I purchased this light. The footprint is amazingly small. Aside from purchasing another reflector, what are my options to increase the light footprint?

More details please? You haven't even provided a wattage, reflector type or anything else that one might deem useful in answering your query.

In a nutshell, based on details you provided, lower the light. That will increase it's footprint.

You should try clicking the link he provided. "this light" is the link. its hyperlinked, http://www.amazon.com/Watt-Electronic-Ballast-Reflector-GYO2009/dp/B004HNPGKA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1298849636&sr=8-1 is what he has

a 400 Watt light should only have a foot print of 3'x3', which that setup you got should be pretty close, I wouldn't make any changes to be honest.

Thanks

I missed the link, the color is almost the exact same as the regular text on my monitor.

nodrama, thanks for your reply. The footprint is much less than 3X3@ 18". I picked up a 4X4 tent hoping to use over 1/2 the ft^2 for grow and have room to mount the electrical works, ducting, etc... I don't currently have enough light to do that, especially with this reflector.

Hi
I have a bud who built his cool tubes and he has the same problem! He also placed a reflector on top of his cool tube. I clicked your link, looked at the reflector, looks good but I can see were the problem is! I have the same issue with my Air cooled hoods Eight inch. I found that my center row of plants get TOOO much light; in which, most is reflected off the leaf surface. Than the other two plants on each sides look like they get some light, but almost look shaded. All you can do is lift the light higher to help spread the light, but with you intensity you might loose to much lumans. I run 1000Watt's so I can get away with lifting up a bit. On the other hand, you might have to lower the light and grow in your 3x3 area instead of your 4x4. Any in any sense, its a 400 watt! 3x3 sounds perfect! I would not worry to much man!
Best luck!
